Valdis looks up briefly when Helena enters, but stays silent, eyes drifting back to her book to keep reading. It's not a romance novel this time, but Arabian Nights. The sigh brings her attention back to Helena, the snap of the notebook indicating some level of frustration. The girl hasn't seemed to have noticed her at all.
