The one thing that almost does contextualize (maybe???) any of this for Nobunaga is that Klaus also has a personal void when he dies, but without the fish, and instead dead relatives and a God that hates him. So he's sort of imagined the afterlife voids to be a lot like this anyway. Definitely preferable to his own time he calls Hell.
