The changed memory washes over Siffleur while he lies in one of his dens, his head coming up as he realizes that someone's been in his memories - and that his mother was there too. He feels a little soft longing in him at having gotten to see her again, even if it was only a memory of her. That had been an awful point in his life, alone for the first time and missing her desperately always. The warmth of that hug is so soothing...
But it was Max who was there, who was very nearly Siffleur's memory dinner. Shit. No wonder his mother showed up.
So when Max arrives, Siffleur's waiting up on the front checkout counter. He couldn't be totally sure Max would come, but he was fairly certain. The tears on Max's face are enough proof to make Siffleur hop down and trot over to meet Max. "Everything's okay."
