She squeezes his hand, wishing she had it in her to flirt and joke and generally tease him about frivolous things instead of feeling miserable and filled with regrets.

"Some people believe that they will see their loved ones again in the afterlife, but that is not possible for those who continue to linger long after they should have moved on. I would not wish immortality on anyone." She smiles a little. "Though I do admit that having mortal enemies is far more useful than having immortal ones."
