That's definitely a motivator and Steven's pretty sure he wouldn't even last a day if he'd been through that. He would've wanted Marc to make it out of the island anyway, if he was given a choice.

"I like it, Mr. Pleasant." Not that his opinion would mean much of anything, but 'tis a nice name, he thinks. Very fitting of his current state and form indeed. And it's a little nicer than just. Picking out the name of a character in a movie. That's... well it's not really demeaning, but it's just. Not an exciting name, Steven Grant. And it makes him feel all the more fictional.
