She nods her response to his question, allowing him to rest his hand on her shoulder without flinching.

"Your world's clearly a very different one from mine. People keep expressing those sorts of thoughts toward me, and I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them. You know? If I go home someday, the monsters aren't going to be gone, I'll still have to fight. But now I'll know that I shouldn't have to and it's going to make me break a little.
