[Being called stupid isn't exactly new. She's pretty sure she's been called it a time or two before, not that she keeps track of things like that. But hearing a stranger call her stupid makes her jump in surprise, which in turn nearly makes her stumble her way right into the water. As someone that's typically far more coordinated than that, it's deeply embarrassing.]
