[ it's complicated? as in surreal hole-in-space-in-his-head kind of complicated but it's kind of weird to try to describe. ] A passenger from a previous voyage also tried to kill him, an ancient and powerful storm goddess. So trying to kill him is one thing and succeeding would be another.
And it's true, I think Miss Friday told a friend of mine that there is an 'us' back in our home worlds and the 'us' that exists here now is... a... a copy? [ but he's a fantasy bard, metaphysics like this is something he tries to wrap his head around. ] So who knows what might happen if we do kill him. Maybe this reality would break and all of us would indeed be destroyed. There are a lot of questions and not many answers at all.
