[ w-whoa, she’s singing with him… without prompting, so easily, when he’s usually had to coax others into doing so for some odd reason, people could be so shy to duet. understandably so, and maybe he’s a bird right now and that might make some difference but still. maybe the quickest way to win him over really is to share music with him.
that and she sure is confident, practically radiating proper divinity like this. he could say they have a difference in philosophy but now he kind of has to wonder if she’ll think less of him, a deity who’d practically run away from the responsibility of godhood, one who’d traveled and left his nation for long periods, one who’d hibernate for so long until calamity might befall his country and he’d awaken to desperate prayers and cries for help. the sobriety of realizing his own weakness when his godhood was taken from him, the vain wish that he could do more and yet when he himself had been spirited away from the captain here, there might be little he could do or has done. he’d fallen to the horde in the desert and failed to save someone who’d helped him. fallen asleep practically in sheer depression, running away from his problems and inadequacy. coming face to face with this woman who seemed so very convinced she could help.
maybe he too needed hope like this, when he wouldn’t want to burden mortals with his concerns and the his colleague deity had appeared and disappeared from this place. if there could be camaraderie between even across foreign gods he could try to forge it.
