César opens his mouth to protest with a smile, even if it's true, but that one word from Rich's mouth cuts him off with a burst of emotion that just leaves him there, stunned. It feels so right and warm that he practically hurts from it. He forces himself to be deliberately slow as he pulls Rich into a hug, not wanting to rush the moment or scare his son.
"'Boss' or 'chief' in Spanish." Warmth, his voice full of wavering emotion, his entire face alive with it. "Slang for 'dad'. We're figuring out what Rich wants to call each of us."
