So be kind
Who: Maeve Millay & You
What: September catchall
When: End of September
Where: Various locations
Warnings: Probably not?
Sports deck - closed to Ava
It was quite a strange thing to see legs in the wall or ceiling in various places. Eventually she figured out it was Ava and she'd give a few little greetings, talking to her for a few minutes before continuing on. She was giving the girl space while she healed from whatever it was. She wasn't going to press for details, but eventually...she did suggest they meet up at the sports deck. Whenever Ava was ready.
This meant Maeve came out to the sports deck multiple times, waiting for Ava to show up, but she didn't mind. It wasn't like she was doing that much else.
Once she did, Maeve smiles, going into instruction, mostly just some simple how to hold it details before they actually started fighting with it. It hasn't actually been long enough since she's used it, so she's quick, but she can also quickly stop herself before her blade gets too close to Ava. She's not trying to kill her, just show her how to fight.
She stops after a while, looking at Ava quietly. "I think perhaps that's enough for today, darling. We can do more another day." A beat. "How are you doing today?"
Pool
It's been a mostly okay month all things considered. She did enjoy the beach even if it was only one day. She wishes she'd had more time, but she spent most of her time on the beach or in the water. She misses water. Just open ocean. It's not something that she's really ever experienced before this. Not really. Maybe in memories. The vague memory of the smell of the sea, the feeling of being on a boat out to sea.
The pool isn't the same thing, but she can swim and have a drink sitting just a little ways back from the edge of the pool to stop and drink as she pleases. It's also fairly easy to get to the bar when necessary.
If someone comes by, she'll greet them with a simple hello, just holding onto the side of the pool and casually kicking her legs below the water. If it's someone she knows they might get a little "Well, are you coming in?" or a "Do be a dear and get me a refill. Anything will do. Can't really go wrong with any of the options." She was drinking some fruity berry flavored drink, but she's not terribly picky.
Sundries
Maeve is studying both paper and pens...and markers. She is planning to make flyers like she's seen around before. She believes Stede was the one that made those. These are more of a plan to get Sharky's disco night party together. She's hoping that whatever happens, she can at least get things together so he can enjoy the club and there can be a lot of people instead of only a few. She's very certain that of all the people, Sharky can inspire people to show up for a party if she makes sure to include his name.
She's just not sure what color markers to use to make the flyers or really how to word it. "Does any of this scream come to a disco party?" she asks no one in particular. It's mostly a question posed to the empty space in front of herself or just herself, but if anyone's around, they are welcome to answer anyway.

"I believe you need glitter for that. Are you planning a party?"
no subject
The glitter seems to be something people are suggesting a lot. She's adding it to her list of things to look for. "I am trying to do something nice for Sharky," she says after a moment. "It's been a very long time between him mentioning him being disappointed about the lack of people going to the dance party, but...I'm sure it's a better late than never situation. Also I still need someone to help me figure out disco music."
no subject
"I don't even remember there being a dance party other than the one at camp." Not that he would have gone to it, but that's not the point.
no subject
That's fair. She doesn't remember there being one either. She did go, however. "I think that's the point. The lack of dancing. He mentioned he was disappointed by the lack of dancing and disco, so I thought I'd try to cheer him up a little."
no subject
"From what I know about the other passengers on this ship, so long as there's alcohol involved, they will come to whatever event you throw." He says slowly, trying to not be negative but also he is absolutely not going to come to this party. Still, look at him trying to be helpful. "So you should be able to get some amount of people. Forcing them to actually dance, is a whole other endeavor."
no subject
"You are right. The way to most people's attention is alcohol. Especially for a party. Hopefully no one gets terribly sick." As for the dancing. "Well, no. I do not think I could force them, but gentle encouragement can never hurt. And I can be fairly persuasive when I want to be." It's part of her programming as a Madam. Charisma is a high point. "I don't suppose I can persuade you into coming, can I?"
Max doesn't seem to be a party person and she's fine with that. "I can tell you the particularly entertaining and embarrassing things later."
no subject
He shakes his head, having seen Sharky in the stumble stage of blackout drunk he absolutely doesn't get it.
"I'll pass, but sharing any sordid details would be appreciated."
no subject
She smiles a little, nodding at his words. "Well, I will be certain to keep a very detailed account of the embarrassing stories of the night. I'm certain there will be more than enough."
no subject
But maybe it would be nice to not think about certain things for a brief moment of time. That's how both Sharky and Jeff explained why they were always drunk to him. And while he doesn't understand why they get to that state all the time maybe occasionally having a moment or two of not remembering would be nice.
Or it would be terrifying.
He's not sure yet.
no subject
So far anyway. She's not sure what would have to happen to make her want to be rid of a memory. She's never tried it.
"Humans are different in that respect."
