Skulduggery has never actually had a person look at him -- him! -- and have to ask whether or not magic is a real thing. He... he doesn't know what to do. Does he ask if Max needs a software update? Is he even going to be able to process the concept of magic? Like, what if it turns into some sort of... paradox, or something? He's seen one whole science fiction flick, he knows what he's talking about.

"First, yes, magic does exist in other worlds." He points to himself as proof of that. "And as for the other questions... I imagine it's sort of like absorbing heat, or light.
