[An interesting idea... what if they could return with somebody else to their reality? Wouldn't that be something? No doubt living a life on the high seas would beat wherever he's destined for next.]

That does seem to be the tricky part of the whole thing, doesn't it? Nobody sees any of the new arrivals before we're in our cabins, and nobody remembers how they got here. Makes it pretty hard to find our way back.
