I agree with trying to break free, but try to see it more abstractly. Never resign yourself to torture, obviously, but instead of trying to break out, make the world better. It's possible I'm thinking too much of the past. But if we were to make it analogous, trying to escape is the same as trying to ascend the tiers of heavens rather than claim this life as the best possible, and make it better for others. Rather than view the Captain as a captor, view him as an opportunity.

A version of you is there at home, who doesn't remember being here and cannot act on information received here, fulfilling all obligations.
