You're overlooking how the contrast of the boat's interior red-orange pops makes it stand out against the green-blue of the tropical waters painted in the image! The white of the exterior of the boat provides a buffer between the colours to better frame the vibrant reds, and furthermore the boat shape serves as a vehicle for the artist to demonstrate a darker more neutral blue within the image to show the difference between the waters in the light and that in the shadow cast on the boat's hull under the water.



But you're right the boat itself isn't quite right in perspective and while the simplicity works for the style of the painting, it makes the back end of it seem blank and bland, so okay, one whore but I'm sticking to three bottles of wine.
