Cabin 126 - Closed to La Pluma

[Well, Emma did notice some disarray when she woke up, so she's not that surprised when she comes back to the cabin later to find someone else inside. She walks over to face La Pluma, lifting her hands to sign-it's apparently comprehensible to everyone on this ship, after all.]

You're staying here too?

Library

[Research has always been a good solution for the various problems Emma's found herself facing. However, this library does not seem very conducive to it. She has a notepad in her hand, doodling a quick map as she tries to figure out how everything's organized, and occasionally making note of interesting-seeming books. Anyone who notices her wandering is free to try and stop her and ask what she's doing, though it might require a tap on the shoulder or getting in front for her to actually notice. Or they can bother her when she's done with the whole thing and trying to read a few books if they're a jerk like that.]

Playback

[Well, never let it be said that Emma doesn't know how to take a break. She's clambering up one ladder of the indoor playground when she notices something out of the corner of her eye. Glancing over, it looks like a floating glove, slowly fingerspelling H-A-H-A repeatedly and rapidly. She nods, looking away before doing a double take to stare back at it. She climbs to the platform and stares at the glove, before tentatively lifting a hand to sign:]

Hello?

[There doesn't seem to be any response. But the gloves keep showing up nonetheless. Sometimes they don't show up as gloves, and instead when she looks away from a surface she'll look back to see the grain has rearranged itself to spell out similar laughter. Although despite this, she's still doing her best to enjoy herself and just get some exercise running around the playground.]

Sand Dollars

[The hot cocoa here is good. Later in the day, Emma can often be found here, getting herself a drink and occasionally a snack. If anyone wants to sit across from her, she'll gladly let them.]

Hm, I might use more adult words for him. But jerk works, too, I suppose.

[ She might casually call someone a "Motherfucker" in any other circumstance, but she's going to be at least a little aware she's talking to a child. ]

I know we just met and all, but you'll promise me that you'll take someone with you if you try to go talk to him?

[Emma nods at that second part.] Of course. And I'll bring that communicator with me too.

[ Once again, she smiles. She's not going out of her way to watch over the kids on board, but she really doesn't want anything happening to them. ]

Perfect. Thank you. [ ... ] You mean your phone, correct?

Yeah, I guess it count as one. A phone with a really limited plan that only reaches this ship.

Yeah, a not fun phone, that's for sure. It could at least have a few games on it... But, at least we're able to talk to each other. You can text me anytime, by the way, I check my phone relatively frequently.

I will. Thanks. [Emma feels quite relieved that her roommate is so nice and helpful. Actually, so far she's met more helpful than rude people on board this ship.]
