For the sake of ease, those entering memories will be assumed to not be noticed until they choose to take significant action in a memory. If, for example, in the kitchen memory, if someone wanted to clean up the mugs and meal packets or read over Ratthi's shoulder, they won't be noticed, but if they decide to stab Mensah, that'll be a notable alteration to the memory, and people are going to freak out.

What is leisure? Security is there literally three minutes later, knocking on the door.

Number 6 expected as much, so he already has the gift he's planning to offer Security in hand when he opens the door.

"What is it?" Security blinks a few times uncertainly. "And...why?"

"The answer to the first question will also answer the second," he says with a small smile. No need to be suspicious, Security.

"This"--he holds out a small white disk on a keychain. It fits in the palm of his hand--"is an Air Tag. That's what Ava called it when she gave it to me at Christmas. They can track the location of anyone in possession of it. There is a program that connects to the ship phones that will allow one to see the wearer's position on a map. I keep this with me at all times. Ava, so far, is the only one who possesses the code necessary to view it. I am offering you that code. So, as long as we are on this ship, you will know where I am and, should I vanish, you will know that too."

Security tilts its head to one side. "I don't think I need the ship phone to track it. The signal it emits is on a frequency I receive, I just didn't know what it was before."

Surprise, your cyborg could have been tracking you all along if it cared to investigate that signal.

"Ah. I shouldn't be surprised." He still is, mildly.

"Now, I must warn you, Ava has one as well that she allows me to track. I am not giving blanket permission for you to view her movements, only mine. Are you able to differentiate?"

"Yes. Though ignoring a signal is a little like ignoring a song playing on the in-store loudspeaker system. I can't promise that I won't ever notice its existence, but I won't go out of my way to track her."

"That will have to suffice. In some ways that's no different, I think, to knowing you have your drones around. But, I will be letting her know both that I've given you permission to track me and that you are aware of her signal existing. I keep nothing from her unless explicitly told to." Even then, it has to be for good reason.

"I wouldn't ask you to--just like I wouldn't keep anything from my crew."

He regards Security with a warm smile, not looking it in the eyes but not averting his gaze either.

"I'd like to think that means I've made a profound positive impact for you. Tell me, Security, who is your crew?"

"Helena and Max. Dr. Watson and Cesar. Max. Erin. You." Its nearest and dearest. The ones it trusts.

"...don't tell the second Max I said that."

"I assume you mean the Omnic, Max." Number 6 says with a wry smile. He supposes he shouldn't be shocked the two are friends. Now, he has two people for which he must behave himself around Maximilien.

"He would not believe anything I say even if I did try to tell him. Which I won't."

It didn't say they were friends. It claimed Max as part of its crew. There's a difference!

"You've managed to get on his bad side? I can't imagine how." Easily.
