1. [HIKE]
[not much special happens on the hike into the tommy bahama. time and space get wonky the further into the Tommy Bahama you get, and they're going all the way, baby. Sharky brings plenty of water and only does a little shopping as they head to the bar -- it's a few hours' hike, but don't worry, the time flies by, and the monsters lurking in the racks seem put off by the size of their party.]

2. [DINING]
[the Tommy Bahama is a retail store until it suddenly isn't; tables and chairs are spread out in neat rows leading towards a bar that serves as the seeming "end" of Tommy Bahama. each one has a menu on it; calling out an order will cause it to appear on the bar counter, as if waiting for a ghostly server. there aren't any, so you'll have to grab it yourself!

two tables have a surfboard ringtoss set on them instead of menus, complete with two sets of differently colored rope rings.]

3. [BAR]
[the bar is, you know, a bar. it seems like there's nothing beyond it but the kitchens, but if you go through the kitchen doors there's just more Tommy Bahama. there are menus here as well, and the bar will happily mix up whatever specialty drinks that are ordered.

there are two sets of table pool to enjoy! please don't swallow the balls.]

4. [DANCE + PLAY]
[as soon as they arrive, Sharky grabs a margarita and then gets to work clearing a section of the dining area for their own uses. Ava's requested that he turn Billy Bass into their speaker for the night, so he's got that monstrosity jury-rigged to his speaker, which is connected to the overhead speakers with what looks like an untwisted wire hanger and some electrical tape. it's fine, just nobody touch it.

Billy Bass flops and mouths along to the songs on the stereo, which is full of mid-aughts pop music, occasionally interrupted by disco.

Sharky has apparently found a cornhole game in the depths of Tommy Bahama, and he's set that up to one side of the cleared floor. on the other side is a ladder ball set, in case there aren't enough games around to play!]

1. Hike

Anyone not previously invited that they come across within the Tommy Bahama will be enthusiastically encouraged to join the party! However Ava insists on a dress code. Better grab a new outfit along the way if you're not decked out in full Tommy Bahama attire.

She changes into a patterned dress and tosses on a hat to complete her look.

She flops hats on everyone else's head throughout the hike.

2. Arrival and Dining

Ava is excited that the mythical restaurant of Sharky's tales are true, with an enthusiastic "told you!" directed at Valdis.

She's overwhelmed by the menu options and has worked up quite an appetite finally after weeks of trouble eating. She orders one of everything, to share. Though she does pause at "buffalo... cauliflower?" There's a skeptical wrinkle to her nose. "Why."

3. Bar and games

Ava's got her second pina colada in one hand and is cheating at table pool in the other.

4. Dance!

She's extremely excited for Sharky to hook Billy Bass up to the sound system, clapping her hands along to its first successful song as it flips and flops in time to the music. She gives Sharky a big hug and then insists he lift her up on top of the bar.

Yes she's dancing, no she doesn't care how awkwardly she dances because this is her party and you can't stop her. She holds out a hand for anyone to join her.

Sharky's ordering his third drink (a Mango Nada this time, as he works his way down the menu) when he spots what Ava is doing. Or... not doing...

"Uhhhh, I don't think that's how you're supposed to play that..."

She picks up the edge of the board to tilt it so the next ball falls into the hole. She looks rather pleased with herself.

"Says who?" And she takes Sharky's drink as soon as it appears at the bar to steal a quick sip before handing it over.

"Says Tommy Bahama himself, man!"

Sharky makes a scandalized face when she takes his drink, but it's all for show, as evidenced by the way he grabs her drink for a quick response-sip.

"I guess since it's your party, you can do whatever you want to those balls." HEHEH. "BTW, any of this shit here, you can take back with you when we leave! Challenge Peter to some strip table-pool, mayyyybe???" HEHEHEHE.

Ava may have been right about the restaurant, but Valdis is fairly certain it wasn't here last time, so it must be like those waterslides that hate Pratt. Maybe the restaurant doesn't like Ari. Or maybe it just likes Sharky.

"Cauliflower is used in a lot of recipes these days," Valdis replies, still browsing the menu. It's pretty extensive and well.

"I'll take the coconut shrimp, a Mango Nada and a slice of the pina colada cake."

There's a ring and the order appears across the way.

"But it stinks," Ava protests. She grew up on the standard joyless healthy diet of steamed vegetables and unseasoned chicken breast. But nothing can ever convince her there's any value to cauliflower other than punishment.

"This place really lived up to the hype," she comments happily, digging into the pile of tots.

Siffleur may not have hands but he heads over to dance with Ava anyway, wearing a pair of shades that got put on his face halfway through the party. He's having a great time, full of food and drinks and so he dances with her - though in this form, it's really more of wiggling around.

"Good party!" He tells her. He's been to a few bachelor parties out of obligation and they weren't fun. But this is excellent.

"Yes!" He knows better than most how much she's needed this, the excuse to let loose and have fun with people that she enjoys the company of. She doesn't allow herself to shut down and withdraw as she has the weeks prior, and the bit of alcohol consumption does ease those nerves. It's a good practice run for the wedding, being around a crowd again even if she anticipates the attendance being much higher for the actual event.

Ava pulls out her phone to take a quick selfie of the two of them together, because the sunglasses are fantastic.

She puts her hands out, offering to take his paws into her palms so they may dance together.

"Oh my God, I love the singing fish!" Max proclaims in absolute delight.

He eagerly climbs right up on the bar next to her. Shame? Never heard of it. He's here to be her hype man.

"Let's give it up for the bride-to-be!"

"His name is Billy! I got him back at the Battle Royale," she spins and spins and nearly topples off the bar.

1. Hike

Klaus is here in this shirt and these board shorts per the dress code rules. They're planning on eating a ton, but for now, they are just walking along and talking to whoever else is close by.

"Do you think Bahamanuel will stay away for this? Also how long do you think this will be?"

2. Arrival & Dining

They're not sure that they would have known or believed that this place existed, but they're also not sure that they'll ever find it again. But maybe they can drag Nobunaga here for a date night sometime. They can make it a 'choose your outfit at the door and eat food' kind of thing. Each choosing an outfit for the other. It sounds cute.

But for now, they are trying to find something to eat. "I don't even know what to choose? Do you have a suggestion?"

Dance

Klaus is asking pretty much anyone that exists near them in this adventure to dance. There is no escape. Only dancing unless you really don't want to, but there will definitely be a slight pout about it.

Sharky leans over to point at a couple of items on the menu, with the air of a guy who's had half of the things on the menu and liked all of them.

"The Hurricane Tots are supes good, the shrimp bowls rock... but TBH, this is the only place on the ship that does tacos, like, at all?? So I'd go with those. Try not to remember what good Mexican food tastes like, and they'll taste authentic as fuck!"

[busball]

"Oh man. Tacos." There's a sigh. "I had the food in Mexico, so I will like...try to forget what that tasted like somehow." Which is gonna be hard because they've already started thinking about it.

"Maybe we'll get an honest to god taco bar sometime. I hope so. Cause it would be the best of times and everyone deserves tacos." But right. Klaus will order a taco and probably the hurricane tots for good measure. If they're still hungry, they'll order more stuff. "Do they have to-go boxes here? I'm gonna take something back for Nobunaga for later."

"Water... activated..." Ava sounds absolutely confused to what that possibly can even mean as she reads the tag on the bright shorts that Klaus picked out.

But there's only one way to find out. She grabs one of the water bottles that Sharky brought along for the journey, and splashes Klaus's shorts. To see what's activated.

Klaus makes a surprised squeak at having water splashed on them, eyes narrowing as he grabs for the water bottle. There's a little pineapple print starting to form on the side. It's nothing fancy, but it's still there.

"You're so rude. Why do I have to get wet at a party that I came for AND DRESSED FOR...cause you had a weird dress code!" They don't actually care about the dress code, but being damp when you weren't trying to be damp is sad.

Bar

[Okie's craft corner has been put to good use because Pratt is setting up a cardboard cutout (okay it's about 8 pieces of cardboard taped together) in the shape of a person behind the bar. Some will recognize the pose from shooting ranges. It's wearing a Hawaiian shirt and has =) drawn where the face should be. The nametag on the shirt proclaims this as: BRAD.

The arms go on the bartop around where the food keeps manifesting. Wouldn't want their favorite bartender left out of the festivities right?]

Games
[Pratt is standing near the ringtoss waiting to challenge whoever comes near. While he waits, he awkwardly juggles the rings, badly, occasionally dropping them, but he keeps trying because he's a showoff.]

Hey! Wanna give it a go?

[With a cocky grin that projects how fiercely competitive he is. Unless the person who challenges him is Ava because it's her party and he won't be a dick.]

Brad! Another round of coconut shrimp! With extra dipping sauce.

[she's still a bit iffy on seafood, but having it breaded and covered in toasty coconut and swimming in sauce at least makes it a bit less like the time she gnawed her tentacles off!]

I like him better than the one that tried to eat you.

Seriously. What even happened to them after the whole room full of heads anyway? They fuck off somewhere?

As a part-time resident of the Tommy Bahama (and in a sort-of-unlabelled-relationship with the permanent resident), Jack has awareness of the Tommy Bahama bar and restaurant, and as a matter of fact he's slouched over that bar right as the party arrives. He's accompanied by a grey goose martini (and the bottle of grey goose that laid it), courtesy of Siffleur before he went off to do whatever, and a plate of hurricane tots he's slowly grazing through.

Jack's a little too absorbed in his own humiliation at first, wishing for one of the few times in his life that he can get too hammered to think. Or at least that his 'too hammered to think' phase would last longer than a minute or so.

Not that his sobriety really has an effect on his plan-making; the second he's aware he's not alone, he jolts, glances over his shoulder enough to confirm there's a witness, and then... Hops the bar, nearly knocking his drink over.

Too little, too late given that his reason for the depression-tots was learning about the excursion broadcast and how - er - much more of Jack was shown to the entire ship than this glimpse at the bar. There's really nothing left to see of him, and yet he's super-hoping he can somehow just, stay hiding behind the bar and hope people just accept that he's not here.

Turns out Jack isn't waiting for them upon arrival but they're interrupting what apparently was intended to be alone time. Ava politely pretends to not notice Jack, understands that his dramatic dive behind the bar is indication that he rather be ignored. Even if she's not sure the reason. She... thought they had gotten along well enough, the times they interacted. Even if it's been awhile. So she doesn't think it's her he's necessarily avoiding. Maybe one of the other attendees.

But eventually she does give in to the mild concern, to poke her head over the counter to check if he's still there. "You okay...?"

The problem, as Jack quickly notices, is that this bar is an L-shape, so he really only has one way out of it and there's no way he's going to be able to do that sneakily. The other, larger problem is Jack's complete and total lack of a plan beyond hiding his face.

By the time Ava checks in on him, he's still stuck for ideas how to get out. the kitchen doors are just to the side of the bar enough that he'll be seen going through them, the evidence of the doors swinging behind making it clear... and he'd have to give up the misery hurricane tots, which he was actually kind of enjoying.

He looks up from where he's sitting on the floor, wondering what kind of excuse he could give to duck out of this conversation - and then it occurs to him at last that, hey, right, Ava was on the ship too. Maybe she didn't know about the broadcast either. Maybe no one told her (because maybe, Jack and Siffleur were the only ones doing something scandalous enough to need pointed out).

So, even though just thinking about it has him slowly turning red, he powers through it.

"Uh. Yeah." he answers first, so she doesn't worry. "Ah... Did you know? They uh, played out everything on the sinking ship, on the T.V.s over here. Ha ha, ha..."

He tries to smile like he's fine, but all he can think about is what his and Siffleur's last moments were like, and how everyone on the ship knows exactly what they were like also.

Max Maximum | OTA

Hike:
Max was one of the first to get dress-coded. He likes his fancy suits, okay? But, he's a good sport, so along the journey, he plucks up an obnoxiously bright printed shirt with mojitos and limes on it and pairs that with some shorts and boat shoes.

"There, now I'm ready to party," he announces to anyone in earshot. "What do you think?"

Dining/Bar
"Oh my God, there really is a restaurant back here. I thought you guys were pulling my leg." Seriously, can you blame him?

"Do you think there's also a kit--" he starts to ask, poking his head through what should be the kitchen doors. His expression falls with disappointment when it just ends up being more Tommy Bahama. "Aw. I guess not..." Oh well. He'll just have to relax and let the invisible cooks do the work this time.

A while later he can be found with a fruity daiquiri in one hand and mini taco in the other. His cheeks are as pink as the strawberry garnish on the rim of his glass. Someone's been enjoying the booze quite a bit.

Dance + Play
He's a social butterfly in his natural environment now, and he is living it up. "Yeah! I love this song!" he says, about every song. Even the ones he doesn't actually know or recognize. He still loves it. And he loves everyone in this bar. He'll smile and wave at people to join him on his impromptu dance floor, shaking his booty for the crowd with the confidence of a Chip 'n' Dales dancer. He's not actually doing any stripping but it also wouldn't be hard to convince him to either...

He wasn't exactly sure how he had gotten here. What had started as a search for a clean shirt and pair of shorts ended at a bar with a large, strong margarita in hand. Not that he would complain. The drink was making the wild, bright print of his newly acquired shirt more tolerable. He really needed to figure out where to clean his clothes.

Ashley stood sipping his drink realizing he has very likely crashed some kind of party that he wasn't invited to. Not that it was the first time he had done something like that. Probably wouldn't be the last. Good way to get to know more people right? Fortunately he isn't shy and loves a good crowd.

Bean bag in hand he dances his way to the cornhole game. Whatever song is playing? He's humming along.

"You're new around here," comes the slightly tipsy slur from Ava, who has quite literally appeared out of thin air in front of the cornhole game, swaying gently to the music with her own mangonada.

He doesn't jump when she appears but he does look surprised and laughs as he takes a step back. Usually that's his gig, showing up out of nowhere.

"I am new around here." Setting his drink down he wipes the condensation off on his shorts and holds out his hand. "Ash." In his other hand he gives the bean bag a toss and catches it again. "How's your cornhole game?"
