[OPEN] 'Til Morning Comes
Who: Security
When: September
Where: Most of these prompts could be anywhere on the ship
Summary: Flower shenanigans
Warnings: Flower influence, amnesia/memory loss
1. Go alone, my flower [Ivy, touch starvation]
Ivy is dangerous. Okay, all the plants popping up are dangerous, but after Security tangles with a patch of ivy in one of the stairwells, it realizes there's something really wrong here.
It tries to deal with the want-need-skinfeeling-badthing at first with its weighted blanket, but when that proves not to be enough, it will seek out familiar faces (and given its drones, almost all faces are familiar) and just...exist in people's vicinity with a look not wholly unlike puppy-dog eyes, even though it's not sure what it's begging for. Just. Make the bad go away, please?
2. And keep my whole lovely you [Forget-Me-Not, amnesia]
Amnesia's a bitch, when so much of your identity is something that's been constructed in the past year and change. When under the influence of the pale blue forget-me-nots, well...
Security forgets that it's managed to disable its own governor module.
Which is a huge problem, because it feels errors popping up, and yet there's other data in its error storage--media files??? Why would those be tucked away there? It can't comprehend. But. But. It knows it's a SecUnit, and it must be leased out on this vessel to protect the people aboard on their journey. Or something.
So find it in public spaces, standing against a wall at attention, face blank, like a proper SecUnit on duty, not addressing anyone, only reacting if there's a problem that needs fixing. It may not have its armor (that's in the cabin it can't remember), and it may not have its orders, but it does know how to behave, in theory.
3. Wild green stones, alone, my lover [Dandelion, flight]
Not all experiences this month are bad ones. Perhaps you're out on the sports deck or by the hot tub, when you look up and see Security floating on the ocean breeze. It has some spare dandelions in the pouch pocket of its hoodie for anyone who wants to join in the fun. Whee!
4. And keep us on my heart [Wildcard]
There are tons more flowers I'm open to playing with, but those will be more one-offs. Reach out to me at darkersolstice on plurk or discord to request a custom starter.

Somewhere, there is a micron of concern.
But of course he can't start with that, "Something interesting on the wall over there that I'm unaware of?"
no subject
Because that's obviously the correct way to deal with this situation, right? Right?
Ping!
no subject
Stop that.
No information is returned via ping other than that and maybe a faint sense of anger.
"What are you doing?"
no subject
Nevermind the fact that Max has never comforted anyone in his entire existence.

1, cause why not.
Did it follow him? How did he not see it? Why is it staring at him like that?
"Hey, Sec. I swear I didn't touch the chicken nuggets this time."
no subject
Security is sitting pressed up against the comfy library chair Ash is in, as if seeking proximity through the furniture. It's actually almost cute, except for how completely wrong it is.
no subject
"Is something going on, Security?"
He shifts in the chair so he can better see it.
"As adorable as you look right now this doesn't seem very...you."
no subject
And it doesn't know how to find the words to explain what it is, but it can at least articulate that much. Part of the problem is that it doesn't know Ashley very well, so it's not sure that he'll help, even if it does manage to pinpoint the malfunction.

It feels like ice water just got dumped down Max's back. Why is Security acting like... like it doesn't remember who it is anymore? It couldn't have gotten its memory wiped... could it?
"Security... what's going on? You don't remember me?"

"Whatever are you doing, Security?" He steps over in concern, leaning on his cane in a casual way. "Everything all right?"

It's an honest offer, but it's also a sort of gentle prodding.

"You okay, buddy? You seem a little...uhh...you know. Sad?? Did something happen? Do I need to rough someone up? Do you need a hug? I can turn around."
no subject
The direct questions make it all easier to sort out.
“Also, don’t you think I can rough people up myself?”
no subject
"I mean...sure, but I've never seen you look so sad, so I thought someone hurt your feelings and maybe I needed to fight them about it." A beat. "My telekinesis is pretty strong now. I could have done it."

And this... person... who is existing in a way bordering on looming is just sort of there. Looking needfully at him. In a way that Garak is completely at a loss to explain. And ignoring him until he goes away doesn't seem to be doing the trick. He smiles.
"Was there something I could help you with?"
no subject
But.

"You look like you're having fun!" he calls down over the wind. "How are you doing that? Flowers?"
no subject
It's never encountered a dandelion before. It didn't even know to make a wish. But it's looking very free and light-hearted for something so dense and full of metal.
no subject
He starts circling lower, if that makes things better.
