write those lines in white snow [OTA]
Who: Cassandra de Rolo & you!
When: December post-excursion, probably extending into January
Where: Everywhere on the ship she can get to
What: Processing, apologies, more processing
Warnings: Game-typical angst; also likely to include discussions of torture, brainwashing, and other fun Village activities
A. die slow, dive low
She wakes with a start, half-sitting up in bed, hand reaching futilely for the hilt of a sword that isn't there anymore.
The wave of relief at seeing the interior of her cabin on the Serena Eterna is overwhelming. A moment later she's swamped by a second wave, one of sickened revulsion at feeling anything good about being back here.
But no, she tells herself. This is better. This place is bad and to be escaped as quickly as possible, and it's still better. Otherwise she would have sided with Number 2, without any need for magic or machines altering her mind.
She reaches for her phone and hurriedly taps out several messages. Most of those who were in the Village with her -- Okie first, then Erin, Steve, Phil, Crichton, Crabb, Natsuno, Helena, Tayrey, Valdis, Ava -- get some variation on are you all right?
But before most of those, messages go out to Dimitri and to Fio. I meant to stay behind, I took my name off the sign-up list, I don't know how it happened. I am so sorry.
B. life goes by, oh I know
Some people she doesn't want to message, though. Gwen and Garak, whom she first met on the excursion, she'll try to seek out over the next week. Darcy ... she doesn't know if she wants to talk to Darcy or not. Peter Starr, whom she rather urgently wants to talk to but recognizes may not be up for it ... she'll ask Ava how he is, if she gets the chance, and she'll approach him if she sees him around the ship.
In the meantime, she makes a point of being seen around the ship herself. She's been withdrawing over the past months; she's going to stop that now. For now, at least.
Find her in the library, on the sports deck, in the lounge, walking the Promenade, in the kitchen, or, yes, at the buffet. (Sharp eyes will note that she still isn't taking much.)
C. the skies open wide, fight for survival
And, on occasion, find her on any of the outside decks at night, looking out over the water. On some nights you may find her fidgeting with a wooden box, one that appears to contain ... some opaque white stuff, like cotton but not the same kind of fluffy. And possibly damp?
D. early to bed, early to rise for the reprisal
Wildcard!
