Open | Welcome Aboard Caitlyn Kiramman
Who: Caitlyn Kiramman & You
When: Last day of camping event & day or two after
Where: Various Locations (Main deck, Tommy Bahamma, Stellar, Adult Pool)
What: Getting oriented, finding out more about the ship, testing the waters
Warnings: Will Update as needed.
01 Getting Oriented: Various places around the ship
Caitlyn wasn't going to just wait around in her room for something to happen. After all the room was small enough for just one person, and to have two people in a cabin that size, Caitlyn wasn't sure what the cruise coordinator was thinking. Especially with a single bed which had already been spoken for when she arrived. Caitlyn's first order of business after the muster drill was to get her bearings straight, grabbing a pad from guest services she began to orient herself around the ship. Starting with the first deck and working her way from bow to stern. Carefully she compared her findings to what was provided and made a bit more detailed map of the ship.
If she was going to be trapped on board she wanted to at least be able to get somewhere without having to stop and try to get directions. She'll spend the day in her Piltover enforcer uniform. She's pretty easy to spot as she makes her way around, looking like she's actually in the middle of writing a report.
02 Gathering Supplies: Infinite Tommy Bahama
If Caitlyn was going to be stuck on a ship for who knew how long, there was no way she was just going to wear the same clothes she'd been convinced to wear running around in the streets of Zaun. For starters, the heat and the sun made it to where they were just too hot. And besides since there was a pool she'd need proper suit for such an area. There were also a few more dresses picked out along with something she could relax in around her room.
Anyone watching can probably spot that every now and then she sets up a small marker, a way of making sure that she doesn't get disoriented by how large the space is. As well as denoting which way the exit was just in case. Even if it just seems like a shopping trip, something told Caitlyn not to let her guard down, so she was keeping a close eye on her surroundings as well.
03 Dinner Reservation: Stellar
On the first day she'd been too busy to even think about food, but on the second she did remember that she had been given a specific time that she was to report for dinner. And so promptly at 6:24 p.m. Caitlyn made her way to Stellar, wearing a formal dress that she had gotten earlier in the day. She had been curious about the food and the service that was going to be offered, though at the same time she was being warry and cautious of everything. Watched everything and trying gauge what might be normal or abnormal with everything that she had seen in the few days she had been on board.
04 Cooling Off: Adult Pool
The cabin really was too small for her to think, and the main deck and areas were a bit more crowded since apparently there was a group that was returning from an expedition to a camp. Caitlyn had made a note to keep an eye out for the next, and for how people were being transported since she hadn't noticed anything prior to the numbers just increasing suddenly. So to try and settle in, Caitlyn had taken a lounger next to the adult pool on one of the upper decks, looking over the notes that she had taken so far while getting a little sun and enjoying the beautiful weather while she was at it. Currently, she seemed to be making notes of the ghosts that maintained the cleanliness of the ship and how discarded materials seem to almost simply float off, prompting her to jot a reminder about not setting her things down absently.
After a while she finally slips into the water, enjoying how much it cooled her down.

"Sleeping?" He peered at her from over the edge of the bed where he was sitting on the ground. "Are you real?"
Blinking he shook his head, trying to see if she'd vanish once he cleared his mind. Hallucinating was normal, hallucinating a strange woman in a... weird... dress uniform thing - that was new and strange. Though no one else he'd met here had been imagined, they'd all been real and physically present.
"Deputy Pratt." He struggled to his feet, using the nightstand to pull himself up.
no subject
"I am real. My name is Caitlyn Kiramman, I'm an enforcer for the city of Piltover."
Straightening herself up she figured it would probably be best to start over.
"I apologize for startling you, but I'm not sure how I wound up here. Especially considering where I was."
Had she been kidnapped again?
no subject
"Piltover? Not really sure where that is." Maybe somewhere in Europe, which would also explain the little ruffly thing at her neck.
"OH. You just woke up." Rubbing the back of neck he looked up at the ceiling as if it held all answers. "Yeah so.. Ha.. alright this is going to sound crazy. Crazier coming from me. Uh.."
There's not a good way to explain to someone they've been kidnapped to a magical cruise ship. Sighing, Pratt tried to make his voice as neutral as possible, a little hard since he naturally sounded like he'd gargled glass every day for 26-years. "We've all been kidnapped here. To this uh.. cruise ship."
Yeah that sounded insane.
"But it's not all bad. There's a buffet."
no subject
How could someone have not heard of Piltover, just how far away from her home had she been taken? She watched him, it was pretty clear that she just woke up, but she had a feeling there was more to it than just coming out of a nap.
"Kidnapped by whom? Jinx?"
no subject
"I've no clue honestly. I guess there's a Captain but I've never seen him. And I dunno why either, before you ask. I've only been here a week myself." He runs his hands through his hair and sits down on the edge of the bed, recovering from the near heart attack at seeing another person. "Never heard of Jinx. So far I've met uh.. well Sharky who's from world. And a couple people while roasting marshmallows. None of them seemed the kidnapping type."
no subject
And Caitlyn's education had been far from cheap or incomplete, especially as a council member's daughter she was expected to know all of the local regions and those that could be potential trade partners in foreign ones as well. And he hadn't heard of Jinx, so that left them back at square one of being kidnapped by an unknown party for unknown reasons. But they were being kept on a ship, that was apparently going from one location to another.
"If it's been a week and they haven't made any demands, then what do they want with us?"
no subject
"I know that they've been trying to escape for months and it hasn't worked yet. Or they haven't done it properly. I'm not sure what they tried yet. I kinda spent a lot of this week sleeping and eating. Been a while since I had steady food you know."
no subject
It was the only thing that made sense if they weren't making any demands of them, and they obviously weren't prisoners in some kind of conflict, there was no way they'd be given this much freedom. And they would have been told about their reason to enturnment.
"Maybe I can ask them myself, just to get a better idea. Sorry again for intruding, hopefully, there might be some additional space so I don't have to bother you more. Is there a map or something I could look at?"
no subject
"Well there's sorta one in the Atrium. But it's kinda like the ones in malls where it's just telling you where the stores are. Might want to ask Friday at Guest Services. She's the... well the one without a face. Super creepy. But she seems nice enough?"
A pause. "Yeah might be better if we didn't have to share a room, I kinda.. am a mess when I sleep. I'd wake you up all the time."
no subject
But she had a feeling that if it was the captain he wouldn't be an easy man to get ahold of. Caitlyn was far less familiar with prisons of the physical variety, but she knew the trapping of politics and structured organizations, the chances were they would have to work their way through the crew to get to the captain.
Meaning that guest services would be her first stop,
"I didn't mean it like... Well, it's just I'm not sure it would be appropriate for a man and woman to when they've only just met. People might get the wrong impression, and I wouldn't want to intrude on your privacy. Plus I keep odd hours at times as well.
Perhaps she'll be able to help with assigning me a different room."
no subject
"Well if you do get stuck here, you can have the bed if you want. I don't actually sleep that often, wake up twenty times and sometimes can't fall back asleep." He shrugs, like that's not a big deal.
"Good luck with it tho. Maybe she's have some info you can use."
no subject
"No that's alright, you were here first. And I'm sure we'd be able to figure it out."
Not that there was much room for figuring anything out, there was no room for a second bed no matter how you looked at it.
"Thank you, I'll let you know what I find out."
Unfortunately, Caitlyn had missed the letter next to the bed in the startlement, and it seemed that there were a few other key details she would probably need to know. Like to grab the lifejacket before she could leave.
no subject
"OH wait, there's a thing you gotta do." He hops out from around the bed, looking at all the flat surfaces for the card that should be there. Unfortunately he knocked it over when he woke up, kneeling down to retrieve it from the floor and handing it over to her. "That should be yours and there should be a life vest for you. There's an orientation thing."
He scratches his jaw, he could definitely use a shave, "I think the door won't open until you do that. Or it didn't for me anyway. No clue how that works, but there's a bunch of weird shit on this ship."
no subject
Caitlyn accepted the card and began reading over the letter explaining things a bit more concisely. It was a small relief she supposed that they would at least have the proper precautions for an emergency if one were to occur. Though it was confusing as to why it wouldn't have been before she was placed in a cabin with another passenger. One who looked like they'd had a pretty rough few days.
"Something tells me that there is going to be a lot that I don't understand at first."
Like the ghosts, that was definitely something that was going to be an unsettling discovery. Following the directions, she went into the closet and found the life vest.
"Is there anything else that I'll need? I'll be sure to stop back by and return this if they change my room."
no subject
"I don't think so. If anything showed up with you it should be around though, like this shovel came with me and it was under the bed for some reason." He shrugs, retrieving that bright yellow shovel from where it had fallen over. "Its not even my fucking shovel."
Well it is now he supposes.
"See if the door opens?"
no subject
Caitlyn took a step forward lifting the edge of the foldaway. It slid back easy enough, folding back into the start of a couch. But underneath was baren besides anything that might have been there from his occupation of the room. Perhaps it had been too much to hope for her rifle or pistol to have been there. Or at the very least her hat to finish her uniform.
"I guess that means that I have everything I need. Thank you, and we'll speak again soon."
Walking over she paused at the door a moment, trying it and finding that it seemed to open without a problem.
