Open | Welcome Aboard Caitlyn Kiramman
Who: Caitlyn Kiramman & You
When: Last day of camping event & day or two after
Where: Various Locations (Main deck, Tommy Bahamma, Stellar, Adult Pool)
What: Getting oriented, finding out more about the ship, testing the waters
Warnings: Will Update as needed.
01 Getting Oriented: Various places around the ship
Caitlyn wasn't going to just wait around in her room for something to happen. After all the room was small enough for just one person, and to have two people in a cabin that size, Caitlyn wasn't sure what the cruise coordinator was thinking. Especially with a single bed which had already been spoken for when she arrived. Caitlyn's first order of business after the muster drill was to get her bearings straight, grabbing a pad from guest services she began to orient herself around the ship. Starting with the first deck and working her way from bow to stern. Carefully she compared her findings to what was provided and made a bit more detailed map of the ship.
If she was going to be trapped on board she wanted to at least be able to get somewhere without having to stop and try to get directions. She'll spend the day in her Piltover enforcer uniform. She's pretty easy to spot as she makes her way around, looking like she's actually in the middle of writing a report.
02 Gathering Supplies: Infinite Tommy Bahama
If Caitlyn was going to be stuck on a ship for who knew how long, there was no way she was just going to wear the same clothes she'd been convinced to wear running around in the streets of Zaun. For starters, the heat and the sun made it to where they were just too hot. And besides since there was a pool she'd need proper suit for such an area. There were also a few more dresses picked out along with something she could relax in around her room.
Anyone watching can probably spot that every now and then she sets up a small marker, a way of making sure that she doesn't get disoriented by how large the space is. As well as denoting which way the exit was just in case. Even if it just seems like a shopping trip, something told Caitlyn not to let her guard down, so she was keeping a close eye on her surroundings as well.
03 Dinner Reservation: Stellar
On the first day she'd been too busy to even think about food, but on the second she did remember that she had been given a specific time that she was to report for dinner. And so promptly at 6:24 p.m. Caitlyn made her way to Stellar, wearing a formal dress that she had gotten earlier in the day. She had been curious about the food and the service that was going to be offered, though at the same time she was being warry and cautious of everything. Watched everything and trying gauge what might be normal or abnormal with everything that she had seen in the few days she had been on board.
04 Cooling Off: Adult Pool
The cabin really was too small for her to think, and the main deck and areas were a bit more crowded since apparently there was a group that was returning from an expedition to a camp. Caitlyn had made a note to keep an eye out for the next, and for how people were being transported since she hadn't noticed anything prior to the numbers just increasing suddenly. So to try and settle in, Caitlyn had taken a lounger next to the adult pool on one of the upper decks, looking over the notes that she had taken so far while getting a little sun and enjoying the beautiful weather while she was at it. Currently, she seemed to be making notes of the ghosts that maintained the cleanliness of the ship and how discarded materials seem to almost simply float off, prompting her to jot a reminder about not setting her things down absently.
After a while she finally slips into the water, enjoying how much it cooled her down.

Really she had come to the pool to get a step away from the board and thread that was already going up in her room, her own new threads go in tangent with threads that the deputy already had up. His organization was questionable, but at least there was a slight share of analytical methods.
"But yes, I was planning on just relaxing, but you don't have to worry about grabbing anything. You were probably relaxing and enjoying yourself as well before I interrupted."
no subject
Admittedly, he hasn't been doing that a lot, lately, but he blames that on the fact that the people he tries protecting have a tendency to dive headfirst into danger without telling him!
no subject
That seemed a bit dangerous, what if he had slipped or wound up under the water. Never mind that it was where she was pretty sure Mizuki had come from, but that wouldn't make any sense at all.
"So there are others who have already been investigating, it would be nice to have a chance to compare notes. And I'm certain there is probably a lot that they've learned that I don't know about yet. Would you mind if I asked who they were?"
no subject
He nods, wondering if he should explain himself or not here. He's way more interested in the second part of their conversation, anyway.
"You can try talking with Clarke Griffin or Lumine. The former knows a lot about the goings on around here and knows a ton of people. She's super nice and quite a valiant person in general aaaand she can go toe to toe with the Captain! The latter recently held a meeting between passengers and I think she made a clipboard with information on it from everyone about things we've found out."
no subject
It was the first time that Caitlyn had heard about someone meeting with the captain, so Clarke was certainly someone of interest now. Though Caitlyn would have to find a way of tracking her down and speaking to her that wouldn't set her on edge or put her guard up. And the fact that there was someone already organizing information in clipboards was promising it would make comparing notes much easier and meant they were probably organized.
"Where would I be able to find either of them?"
no subject
"Lumine is from cabin 125 and Clarke…" Hm. "I can introduce you to her! She's often just around, but—" 'I love to watch smart people work together.' "It might be an easier transition if I introduce you, Miss Caitlyn."
no subject
It would explain why he was likely to be more cautious now, or at the very least why he wasn't quite as readily available or present at the orientation. It was also a little telling about the other woman too, she was probably someone that jumped into action without really thinking it all the way through, like a certain person that Caitlyn had been getting to know. She'd be sure to take Vi with her if she could.
"I would appreciate that. It's kind of you to offer an introduction, maybe we could do it in time for dinner one evening, there seems to actually be a fair amount of room at my dining time."
Something like this would be a lot less awkward than simply walking up and introducing herself to them.
no subject
Long story, really. The only reason Mizuki hadn't tried it is because he was busy fussing over Ebalon who was stabbed by Max while everyone else at the table was getting their lobsters stolen and— Okay, so, that party was a fucking mess, is essentially the gist of it.
"That would work! I can absolutely get something sorted for you, then, Miss Caitlyn."
no subject
Just from the kidnapping standpoint, she didn't now anything about the battle royale or the party afterward. But there was the morning announcements that were less than welcoming or shining of the captain either. The fact only one person was able to actually do something though, that was a bit concerning.
"Thank you Mizuki. Is there anything that I can do in return for you?"
no subject
Randomly showing up and having authority-adjacent girls in his life suddenly is a common theme for Mizuki, actually. Maybe he just has a type in terms of girls? His weird dating sims say otherwise, but—
"I know our circumstances aren't very good, but… um, cooperation is really important, right? And, if we're friends, it'll make it easier for us to work together!"
no subject
It would make things easier to have at least a few people she would be able to consider herself on friendly terms. And he made a very good point about cooperation being a key factor in everything that they had all found themselves in.
"I have to agree. Teamwork and working together are much easier with friends. And they are important during times like these."
