01 Getting Oriented: Various places around the ship
Caitlyn wasn't going to just wait around in her room for something to happen. After all the room was small enough for just one person, and to have two people in a cabin that size, Caitlyn wasn't sure what the cruise coordinator was thinking. Especially with a single bed which had already been spoken for when she arrived. Caitlyn's first order of business after the muster drill was to get her bearings straight, grabbing a pad from guest services she began to orient herself around the ship. Starting with the first deck and working her way from bow to stern. Carefully she compared her findings to what was provided and made a bit more detailed map of the ship.

If she was going to be trapped on board she wanted to at least be able to get somewhere without having to stop and try to get directions. She'll spend the day in her Piltover enforcer uniform. She's pretty easy to spot as she makes her way around, looking like she's actually in the middle of writing a report.

02 Gathering Supplies: Infinite Tommy Bahama
If Caitlyn was going to be stuck on a ship for who knew how long, there was no way she was just going to wear the same clothes she'd been convinced to wear running around in the streets of Zaun. For starters, the heat and the sun made it to where they were just too hot. And besides since there was a pool she'd need proper suit for such an area. There were also a few more dresses picked out along with something she could relax in around her room.

Anyone watching can probably spot that every now and then she sets up a small marker, a way of making sure that she doesn't get disoriented by how large the space is. As well as denoting which way the exit was just in case. Even if it just seems like a shopping trip, something told Caitlyn not to let her guard down, so she was keeping a close eye on her surroundings as well.

03 Dinner Reservation: Stellar
On the first day she'd been too busy to even think about food, but on the second she did remember that she had been given a specific time that she was to report for dinner. And so promptly at 6:24 p.m. Caitlyn made her way to Stellar, wearing a formal dress that she had gotten earlier in the day. She had been curious about the food and the service that was going to be offered, though at the same time she was being warry and cautious of everything. Watched everything and trying gauge what might be normal or abnormal with everything that she had seen in the few days she had been on board.

04 Cooling Off: Adult Pool
The cabin really was too small for her to think, and the main deck and areas were a bit more crowded since apparently there was a group that was returning from an expedition to a camp. Caitlyn had made a note to keep an eye out for the next, and for how people were being transported since she hadn't noticed anything prior to the numbers just increasing suddenly. So to try and settle in, Caitlyn had taken a lounger next to the adult pool on one of the upper decks, looking over the notes that she had taken so far while getting a little sun and enjoying the beautiful weather while she was at it. Currently, she seemed to be making notes of the ghosts that maintained the cleanliness of the ship and how discarded materials seem to almost simply float off, prompting her to jot a reminder about not setting her things down absently.

After a while she finally slips into the water, enjoying how much it cooled her down.

"I told you we take care of our own, we don't go down easy."

They had to fight the enforcers, they had to watch out for the shimmer heads, Fireflights were fast and nimble, struck quick and then fell back. Speed was key, otherwise, there's no way he'd have gotten away in time.

"I've been here a minute. Long enough to hear about what happened. They really didn't do anything?"

Ekko wasn't sure if he was surprised or not, he had expected the council to dismiss everything. Piltover wasn't going to take responsibility, they weren't going to make things right. No more than Silco was just going to let things go.

"I don't have a fight with you, but Vi said you'd help and you didn't. I can see her head wasn't on straight, so you're going to have to prove to me I can trust you before I say anything else."

"You don't understand, there's a lot more to it."

Caitlyn got off and made her way over to where he was sitting at the edge of the pool. Her eyes seemed surprised and hurt at the same time, she had felt betrayed, and uncertain of a lot of things after the council. But none of that was important because of what happened after that.

"I promise, I wanted to help. I still do, and while we can't do anything here. Back home, if we can take down Jinx, then with Silco gone things can start to get better."

"With Silco gone? What do you mean? And if you want any help, then I need something, information."

He leaned forward, obviously she knew something, she was further ahead than Ekko or Jinx. He knew that she'd probably been yanked back, or they'd been yanked forward, but she knew something that they didn't. Things hadn't transpired yet.

"Tell me everything you know about the stone, and about what Silco did to her."

"Jinx killed him, she killed the council as well, all of them."

Any hope of there being stability or peace, it was gone now because of Caitlyn's hesitation to pull the trigger when she had Jinx in her sightsd because she allowed Vi to talk her down and not pull the trigger. It was a mistake she wouldn't be making again, though she didn't know how Ekko might react to that. He seemed to be fighting against her as well, so hopefully, it made him an ally.

"I don't know what he did. But she shot him in order to save Vi. She's fast as well, a lot faster than a normal person would be. So I suspect that there might be shimmer involved."

(Wait, she what? Jinx killed Silco, and the council was gone too? Both sides that had been keeping progress from being made had been eliminated by Jinx, the enforcers wouldn't have any power, and without Silco it would be easier to get Shimmer off the streets. It was great news to hear, and yet Ekko felt something drop in his stomach. How nad why would she have, it was clear that she didn't know.)

Vi can vouch for all this?

And yeah, he gave her shimmer, apparently after our fight. Because of what happened when I tried helping you.

(It had almost gotten him killed and almost killed Powder.)

I'm, not sure. We haven't had much of a chance to talk since I arrived. I think she's been worried about what Jinx might do.

(She reached out a hand and rested it on his forearm.)

You have to trust me, that isn't what I wanted to happen at all. I just wanted to be able to get the gem back to the council, and then maybe find a way to bring Jinx in peacefully. I didn't want for anyone to get hurt.

Funny how that's always the case. Just like an enforcer, say you don't want to hurt anyone, that we should do it the easy way, and in the end we're the ones that are always left bloody.

[The same cycle is repeated time and again. Her promises didn't mean much when they did measure up the first time. But still, he did feel bad considering she'd probably tried. Maybe, maybe if Vi was with her he'd have a bit more faith. Or if he hadn't been bunking with Jinx for the weeks prior.]

Good news, there's no gem here. And no council.

[She still didn't get it, why was everyone making this so diddifult and being impossible to work with. Yes she knew that occasionally there were enforcers who didn't do things exactly by the book, and might have been a little quick to act. But why was everyone acting like she was trying to take advantage of them?]

But there is Jinx? And there have been problems?

Yeah she's here, but she's not been the problem.

[At least not as far as Ekko had seen. Really all things considered Jinx had been pretty stable in the time since he'd been there, she didn't seem unhinged or on edge at all. At least until the last forty-eight hours.]

So what do you plan to do?

What do you mean she's not the problem? You've seen what she's capable of, you were the one that convinced Vi she wasn't the same person anymore. Being here doesn't make her any less dangerous.

[But he did have a point, this wasn't Piltover, and Caitlyn didn't have the authority to arrest or detain Jinx, but there had to be someone who did.]

I plan on keeping those who are on this ship safe, and maybe see if there are a few others that would be interested in helping as well."

She's changed. It's been longer for her, and she's found a lot support here. I'm not saying that she's better, but she's not as erratic as when she was with Silco. I think being away from him has been helping. Away from shimmer, and his influence.

[She wasn't Powder, she would never be Powder again, but she wasn't a problem.]

I'd worry about yourself first.
