[ Because after all, Elysium is all set up now, with a cute table he dragged out of a closet, an hot water kettle he's set up on top with some freshly brewed tea in paper cups, some fries he dug out a resturant. He's got it all set up to kick back for a few hours, dispatch great wisdom, and maybe have his worldveiw totally rewritten. That's the exciting things about vacations, travel and people. You'll never know what might happen next!

[Number 6 squints suspiciously at the sign, before scoffing and turning away from it--only to have his attention captured by the young man waving enthusiastically to him. Fine. He's bored enough to engage.]

[ Maybe six doesn't have an eye for dudes, to not see the exquisite once in a lifetime hottie before him. Elysium is happy to clarify on the subject. ]

And who doesn't like talking about love? It's a great subject to learn more about others. But if that's not your style, I've got all sorts of advice, from healthy living to career planning!

[There's no change in expression from Number 6, he remains utterly un-moved by that "beautiful face." You've never met a straighter man than this.]

I see no point talking about it in a place like this. What hope could there possibly be for any of that?

[ How terrible...Elysium nods to himself. This man must be blind. Or does he just not understand what's fashionable these days? ]

Love, health and future are pretty important stuff, no matter where you are. I don't see how that has anything to do with hope, ya know? Life goes on no matter what!

Life goes on. [He lets out a dry laugh.] That's very true here, in a sense. According to everyone I've spoken to onboard, not even death is permanent. But I still wouldn't particularly call this living to the fullest.

[ Elysium raises a brow at the other mans cynicism. This isn't a worldview Elysium is unfamiliar with, but... ]

You can't let life leave you by the wayside, my friend. If it deals you a bad hand or sticks you on a weird boat, gotta keep focusing on what keeps you happy!

[ He pours himself more tea with a little hum. ]

I don't know anything about death not being permanent, but I'm a real expert on the threat of dying! When I learned I was sick, it was real scary, but you can't let that kinda inevitability get into your head.

I would be happier if I was left to mind my own business.

[But now he's eying that tea wistfully. Well, he was until sickness it mentioned. It's not contagious, he hopes.]

Sick? Are you still ill?

[ Elysium says it mildly, but hey, he kinda doubts it. He spots the wistful look in Six's eye, and once he's done with his own cup, he pours a second one and casually puts it on the table. Who could that be for? ]

It's terminal.

[ Elysium flashes a peace sign over his teacup. If Six really cared to look, was really paying attention, there are a variety of black stony growths around Elysium's wrist, usually hidden by the long sleeves of his jacket. ]

I'm in treatment, but I caught Oripathy pretty young so... Eh. Shit happens man, that's basically what I'm saying.

In general, yes.

[He eyes the new cup as if he suspects it might bite his hand. But the thought of wasting a good cup of tea is too painful, so he relents and takes a seat before pulling it to him.]

I'm not familiar with that condition, but you have my sympathy. Your attitude is commendable in light of such a prognosis. That said, I would think you, of all people, have a right to be angry at being dragged away from your doctors, family, and all your support.
