[She bristles right back at Castor, the of them seemingly poised to be like a pair of yowling cats, when Pollux interrupts.

--Rita's thought process completely short circuits when Pollux takes her hand; she simply gapes at the other girl, eyes wide and red blush rapidly overtaking her face.]

Wha--wha--you don't need to lead me! I'm not the child here!

[THAT'S CASTOR OBVIOUSLY?!]

( Castor, who was already holding her hand, is none too bothered by being pulled along by it.

He is going to be very bothered by Rita's objections to being pulled along herself. )

You should be grateful my sister would touch the likes of you.

Neither of you two are my children, but... don't our hands fit perfectly?

( she gives rita's hand a gentle squeeze, pulling her along as she looks at her facial expression before chuckling softly. pollux sees, she must not be the type to hold hands so often. )

Look at her face, Brother, I haven't even told her how soft her hands are yet, hehe.

( she can do a little teasing, this is fine. )

You shut up!

[She screeches (very maturely, clearly) at Castor, before her face reddens deeper--and then even more at the soft hands bit, because why?! She doesn't know how to deal with this?!]

Sh-shut up! Don't you dare look at my face, okay?!

( Of course theirs fit perfectly—they're the Dioscuri after all.

But... Pollux doesn't seem bothered by Rita's ungratefulness here, so let Castor take that in for a moment. Recalibrate. By the time she's voiced her objections (again), he's able to really notice what it is his sister is pointing out to him. )

Ahaha! She's red as a tomato!

[nyktifanis]

Don't worry! You have a cute face after all.

( as if that'll help the situation, and it doesn't mixed with her brother's help. it's perfect, not too harsh, but playful teasing that won't cause any problems. now this is what she'll let castor get away with. it's hard to argue with the truth, to be fair. )

It easy to draw attention to, don't you think, Brother? It's a good thing it'll show up on the gallery, then everyone gets to witness it!

[Rita's screeching is only raising in both volume and pitch, and she tries to wrench her hand away from Pollux.]

( Oh, she looks like she's ready to bolt. Totally worth a laugh, except— )

Don't get too ahead of yourself, Human. Did you already forget?

( He peers over at her, and while he manages not to openly laugh at this point, he's still wearing a pretty ugly smile with how self-satisfied he looks. )

( there's some reservations at the idea of holding onto rita's arms especially when she wants to be let go. if she keeps tugging, she'll eventually go flying back, and to prevent that her thumb brushes against the female's skin to try and calm her down. )

If you thrash too much, you'll hurt yourself. We're almost there.

( look, there's a table right there nearby. )

Yes, Brother has been excited to cross paths with you for awhile now!

I never promised you anything, you-!

[She bristles at Castor, but then Pollux starts stroking the back of her hand, which is super weird?! Why is Pollux making this weird?! Don't make it weird! Rita's totally not the kid here!]

( Clarifying for her, just in case it helps with that clear memory problem she has going on here. )

So you did forget—as expected of a human. We'll just have to remind you then.

( Once they sit down. C'mon, just a few more steps to the table—you can do it, Rita! )

( how about that instead? let's be real, there's no way pollux wasn't going to point it out, and it's when they're all at a table that she lets their hands go. rita's first, and then castor's second so that she can sit down with her legs crossed, and palms placed on the seat of her lap. she glances between the two, thinking how cute they are before following up on castor's comment. )

It has to do with Guabancex, I'm sure you've ran into her here, haven't you?

[Stop making this so weird, stop pointing out how she looks and feels and ugh!! She's definitely not sitting at the table; she's just going to glower at both of them.

...She also kind of doesn't know Jenny's real name, so...still very angrily...]

( Pull yourself together, Rita. Castor's going to sit-lean on the table, arms crossed, because he doesn't intend to let her have any height over him, but it's also closer to Pollux. )

Jenny. I'm sure you do remember being invited to the sacrifice.

Since you didn't stick around, I want to tell you that Natsuno, Jade, and Shi Qingxuan came to the sacrifice.

( just going to plug his name in as if they're friends. "rita said fio" yes, they're all friends here. also, all three of them came, so she can say with confidence that rita missed out on something enjoyable. )

I wish you had been there, Rita! The smoked, honey ham was delicious, and the fried vegetables with fileted fish. As long as you have a hot surface, it's easy to make those meals.

Excuse me for changing the subject, but it seems the sacrifice was exactly what Jenny needed! Brother's wonderful idea worked!

[Ugh rude it's Pollux making everything weird... With an angry huff, she crosses her arms. They dragged her here to talk about that?]

I don't care who was there! Anyway, don't pat yourself on the back for something that was obviously just a coincidence.

( Finally, they're getting to the good part. Already, a grin is spreading across his face. )

I guess you haven't spoken to her yourself, but she offered us her personal thanks for that sacrifice.

She had even told us what sort of sacrifice she'd want so you're prepared for next time, but hopefully it doesn't have to come down to that.

( you know, they want to keep her here while they still can and assist. )

Jenny's part of us now, so we'll have to work together, something you didn't see coming.

[Rita scowls some more, because she thinks she's starting to see where this is going and she hates it, thanks!!]

Oh, so what, you just dragged me here to gloat? Get over yourselves! Have you considered that maybe she was just being polite when she thanked you?

[No she doesn't think Jenny would actually do that, but right now, she wants to get rid of those smug looks...!!]

Why wouldn't we? As a human, you could learn a thing or two about listening to the gods from this.

( After all—they know best! Or at the very least, Pollux should be considered as knowing such. )

For example, by fulfilling your promise.

( hopefully rita remembers, because it's be horrible if they had to remind her. don't make this anymore embarrassing than it has to be.

wait, maybe it should be as pollux does this with complete kindness as though she's making up for rita's bad memory. )

[Ugh he's so insufferable...! She's about to tell him as much, but then Pollux recites Rita's exact words, and...well...sure, she did say that, but come on now-!]

If you want to pay her a visit, we can always hear the words straight from Jenny herself.

( But Castor's gonna take the liberty to assume that Rita doesn't actually care about that so much as she just wants out of her own words. For that purpose, telling her what Jenny had told them is probably enough to let her know there's no weaseling out of this one. )

The passengers here were too stingy to provide enough of the fuel she needed on her ship. Because she refused to resort to the methods that this ship uses, it was the sacrifice that provided her with the energy she needed.

( He's not gonna say she almost died, because he probably wouldn't appreciate people spreading that kind of thing about him, but they definitely helped. )

I almost had hopes that we could, I enjoy visiting her when she has free time.

( she laughs softly, pleased by the aspect that all of them could go together. it'd be fun, especially where rita has her reservations about jenny in general. perhaps that's why she can't believe what they're saying, but it's true, pollux is honest about it all when she speaks. )

But yes, it appears as though her request, while unlike the Captain's, was also a difficult choice for you all.

( her hands settle down in her lap, eyeing rita as they converse. )

She is the result, considering that she's here with us now. Isn't it wonderful that actions are capable of something, that means we still have a chance towards a promising end.

[Castor is so annoyingly smug, which is a good contributor to Rita's stubbornness here!

There's also, like, the fact that she has no idea what the stingy and request bits are actually talking about... Well, whatever, it's not actually important to Rita!! It still doesn't prove that the sacrifice did anything...even if it was a hell of a coincidence.]

Ugh...look, do you really want to know how she escaped before? Or do you already know--you seem to know a lot about her; you're already like her obnoxious fan group.
