The set up is not much different from last time, with food and drinks set up at tables on the side of the stage that can be rearranged for when it's time to do something more creative. The difference a prop wall has been pulled onto to the stage, proudly displaying everyone's flags.

Grab a drink and some food and be ready to reconnect with your marvelous mates!

(she is trying to contain her excitement -- to stand in attention with her hands clasp behind her back. jinx may be staying put but the glow in her eyes are giving her away. it's been so long since a "higher up" so to speak praised her over something. that once she did good and not causing problematic situations to missions or tasks. she grinning wildly then giggles before finally rocking back and forth at the heel of her boots. standing completely still is just too much to bear!)

Izzy softens. He isn't sure if he wants to run away, now. And it's not like he knows much about modern tattooing at all, much less, you know. Sanitation guidelines for it. It's just that pesky feeling in his chest again, siding up alongside something like pride.]

[ 'Earned' sits far more easily than anything else he's said. Talent is nothing to do with her, and the edges of extraordinary are too loosely defined, but earned? That's... good. ]

I was sort of thinking that... I don't know if I told you, but back with the zombies I... kind of? Held Phil from falling off the rover for a while? And I don't know if it's a thing when you're from, but I've seen pictures of these like... really sick knuckle tattoos that say 'hold' and 'fast'. I think... I'd want those.

[ She knows she doesn't need to explain further. He'd get it. ]

Spent a bit hiding in the walls. But not recovered enough to dance about on stage. My... talents aren't exactly for exhibition.

[He gets it immediately and smiles. See that? A genuine, real smile.

Might not be that strange for Darcy, actually. She makes him smile more than anyone. Barring Ed, she probably knows him better than anyone, too.

It lures Izzy back from the few steps away he'd taken.]

You didn't, but that's a fine choice. That tattoo is for riggers and deckhands, holding fast the ropes of the sails. Without them, a ship would perish.

[Izzy glances towards the stage with intense distaste.]

N'if this were a meeting for proper pirates, your talents would be celebrated up there.

[mental gymnastics in trying to figure out if they're fucking or if it's a purely professional thing because she remembers what Sharky said in the hot tub of gossip]

[Loose lips sink ships, Ava. He'll never tell you what he and Pratt get up to, if they get up to anything at all. Who knows? Not you.

Izzy doesn't quite look at her. He's misjudged a lot, but not without some reason. It hurts to admit, but it is what it is. Sure is fucking nice to hear the apology, though. He nods.]

[It's only then he looks back, notices her fidgeting. Notices the ring. She has one too, that's- that's odd. Isn't it? Izzy holds up his non gloved hand. There it is, right on his middle finger. No flipping the bird, though. Yet.]

It seems we're teammates in any configuration.

[ Darcy smiles back in turn, nodding to herself. ]

I like that. That's good, I knew- I knew they were a sailing thing, but that's cool. Cool.

[He thinks about it and then checks his nonexistent pocket watch. When that doesn't do he checks his nonexistent wrist watch.]
