The set up is not much different from last time, with food and drinks set up at tables on the side of the stage that can be rearranged for when it's time to do something more creative. The difference a prop wall has been pulled onto to the stage, proudly displaying everyone's flags.

Grab a drink and some food and be ready to reconnect with your marvelous mates!

Jason of the Argonauts. [he's read about him. Well, who hasn't? Still less cool than Blackbeard, though not by much]

I'm afraid the Discouri will likely be as disadvantaged as most of us here. And be careful what you plunder. I wouldn't trust anything to be as easy as it seems.

[argonautai]

[ he is not cool in the least, so jot that down.

still, he crosses his arms and raises a brow at a mention of the dioscuri. he wants to comment on the plundering, but this is more important to him personally, considering it's about his own crew members. ]

You've not met them yet, I presume?

[ he tilts his head to the side, grinning with his eyes closed as he continues— ]

What abilities do you have that match their power? I'm human myself [ or was, anyway ], but I recognize a blessing from the gods when it presents itself. [ ... he corrrects himself: ] —Themself. They're two in one person, you know? A value to any ship, for sure.

[he sighs]

I have and none at all.

Well we can hope, I suppose. Maybe they'll be the ones to get everyone to where the want to be.

[but he somehow doubts it.]

How are you finding the ship so far?

[argonautai]

Well, a crew works together and all that. I don't think they alone can do everything... But a ship is only as good as its crew, and a crew is only as good as its captain.

[ he sounds proud of them, nonetheless.

he'd selected them for his own crew aboard the argo once, after all. of course he's not doubting his own decisions.

jason folds his arms as he hums as though he's considering the question, sounding neither pleased nor discontent. ]

It's suitable. Needs work. A cleansing perhaps, given all the ghosts. Can't say I'm too fond of the nonexistent leadership, either. What's your opinion of the mess? You're a captain in your own right, after all.

[maybe then the crew deserves a better one. He decides not to touch on that one though and only hums into his drink]

I don't know. I feel like we're all some kind of entertainment as well as a kind of emotional food source or something like that. People do leave though. They manage to make it out. How I have no idea.

[argonautai]

This entire...thing. It seems to be revolved around entertainment or something. Even your meeting.

[ jason takes a step closer toward stede, patting the other's shoulder heftily as he mutters in his ear. ]

Surely this isn't all for pleasure?

Wow... Excuse you. A little personal space please. [and he'll put a step or two between them, brushing off his shoulder. Really. He barely knew the man]

Of course it isn't for pleasure. It's a bonding experience for my crew. It's for their pleasure if anything...not that they seem to get it I don't think.

[argonautai]

Easy, easy!

[ jason holds up both hands in a defensive motion. ]

I was merely wondering if there was anything more to it. A captain more seasoned with this vessel seemed like the appropriate man to ask, but...

[ he shrugs. ]

I suppose I'm curious about your crew's goals above all else.

I...I don't know... I suppose I'm still working that one out. And before you say mutiny, first of all -technically it's not a mutiny if we didn't choose to be here in the first place- secondly if we could kill the captain, death isn't permanent. So I'm not sure how that's actually going to work out.

[argonautai]

You're absolutely correct on that one, sir.

[ in spite of his doubts that have been building, he beams when stede mentions his viewpoint on mutiny. ]

Mutiny isn't mutiny, and the captain can't die. Perhaps we could contain him in some way? Who's to say. I will say I like the fact that you considered killing him in the first place. Not a lot would go even consider such a plan. Truly a captain's mindset, if I say.

[ he was doubting the other before, but this is what he likes to hear. ]

If you build yourself a trustworthy company, all the rest will fall into place so long as you serve them well.

Oh uh...yes exactly. [he hadn't really considered it at all but he isn't about to say so. He's also not sure he has a trust worthy company]
