Someone grabs her wrist, and by the time she's turning her head, she already feels the sharp pinpricks in her arm. She recognizes Natsuno, and fight turns to relief turns to confusion-
Before panic and recognition can even properly replace them, haze clouds Rita's mind--it all melts away to a calm emptiness, and she sits on the floor, slouched against the bed, expression blank. Old blood stains her shirt, but a tiny trickle of fresh red drips down her arm.]
[Yeah, he doesn't like it. It's so much better when they have a chance to fight back.
Ugh, Torn owes him BIG TIME for this.]
Right. I'm gonna talk, and you're gonna sit quietly and listen.
[He grins at her, almost apologetic.]
You know, I wish I didn't have to do it like this! The look on your face is totally depressing. But desperate times, blah blah blah. So!
[He presses his palms together.]
This is what happened. Clarke Griffin attacked you. She left you creepy notes, and when you caught her and realized she's possessed - she stabbed you. Whenever you recall what happened, you'll know it was Clarke.
[Did it work? Better make sure - ]
Pop quiz time! What happened to you three days ago?
[He doesn't even get a hum or word of acknowledgement; she was told to sit quietly, after all, and she does just that. She has no outward reaction to his preambling, nor even to his instructions, really; every so often she blinks, slowly, but it's not until he questions her that she finally responds.
Slowly, flatly-]
Someone was leaving me creepy notes. I left a trap to catch her. And...
[Because it was always a her, even before the memory of a normally-reserved melodist is blurred out and replaced with a stubborn warlord instead.]
...It was Clarke Griffin. When I caught her, she attacked. She was possessed.
[There's no fight, no hesitation. She recites it all in the same dazed tone.]
Oh shit - [He giggles, part excited and part horrified.] It actually works...! Talk about creepy. Yooooou're under my speeeellll -
[Ok ok, focus! Stop wiggling your fingers like a third-rate villain.]
Anyway, yes! Clarke is guilty no matter what the others try to tell you. [A sudden spark of inspiration:] She was acting weird all month, wasn't she! She even laughed at you! The signs were there all along.
[Is he overselling it? Kinda hard to tell. He puts his hands on his hips and leans forward.]
Jeez, can you act a little more normal? I don't think you blinked even once. [He straightens up.] I'm gonna go now, and once I'm out the door, you'll forget this little encounter ever happened! You've just woken up and were going to warn everyone.
[The wiggling fingers draw her vacant gaze, for lack of anything else to really focus on, until he comes up with more for her to recall. Acting weird...yes, Clarke did do that... Rita nods once.]
The signs...
[They were there, and she'll remember them when her mind is clearer. Speaking of which, he tells her to act more normal...and blink more? So...she tries doing that, as much as she's capable while the venom is clouding her judgement: she blinks more frequently, and shifts to a cross-legged position on the floor, and watches Natsuno standing.
Yes, that's right--none of this will have happened, and she'll get back to what she was doing: warning everyone. Not until he's out the door, though, so before he leaves...]
[--And then he's out the door and the memory that he was ever here at all evaporates.
It takes some time for the venom to fade enough to let her return to acting normally, and in the meantime, what takes over her thoughts goes something like: Clarke is guilty, Clarke is possessed, Clarke stabbed me, Clarke killed me, warn the others-
Until, finally...
She's just "woken up".
Damn, looks like she fell right out of bed in her haste--Rita staggers to her feet, intent on getting that dire warning to her friends before it's too late. She can't let them die--Clarke could get to Natsuno so easily, and Jade, and she can't let that happen--]

[He turns to leave, waving cheerfully.]
Thank you kindly! I'm counting on you.
