Watson puts a hand over his glass with a bashful smile.

"No, I can't blame you for that. I'm surprised I've lasted here as long as I have." He gives a little self-deprecating laugh. "But then, I do feel it's important to meet our fellow passengers, whatever else happens."

He offers his hand for a shake. "Dr. John Watson, by the way."
