SETUP

As news of the possessions spread, as the scale of the crisis starts to become clearer, Dimitri drops into a state some might describe as manic. A couple weeks ago, he learned he's never going home, and nothing he ever knew he was has any meaning. Now he has a goal, a purpose, a strikingly familiar enemy, and he latches onto it with all the determination of a lifeline. Which means making sure as many people as possible know what's happening, and building ways to protect themselves and each other.

On the fourteenth, after hearing about Giles, Dimitri messages everyone he knows; fliers on blank notebook paper in shaky marker handwriting crop up around the ship. EMERGENCY MEETING RE: ASSAULTS AND POSSESSIONS - INFORMATION POSTED IN LIBRARY


SO HERE'S THE DEAL
Dimitri doesn't have a binder. He does have a set of notebooks from Sundries. They're laid out on the same table as the binder, open, because they hurt Dimitri's eyes to look at too long. Each one has a heading in black marker.

The handwriting is Darcy's. The flimsy paper defeated Dimitri's attempts to wrangle it.

STRATEGY MEETING
As with the last infosession, there's not really a coherent meeting. On a ship this big, with the chaos ongoing, it's too difficult to organize that many passengers. But people will be coming and going; there will be chances to strategize and coordinate.

And of course, the library's open and defended for the rest of the month. Dimitri's hauled down a few trays from the buffet of anything that's tolerable at room temperature. Getting chased and need to bolt? Possessor or possessed, no violence in the library.

• Keep others appraised of your movements. Again, the more people the better.
  
• Remain in secure locations when possible.
  
• Do not start unnecessary conflict. Call for aid if under threat or before initiating a confrontation.
  
• The library will remain a sanctuary. Violence will be responded to in kind.
  
• Trust no one. Undiscovered ghosts are better and-or more dedicated actors. Those confirmed safe may yet be possessed.

Dimitri isn't good at sitting still. Find him pacing in circles near the front desk with a feverish gleam in his eye -- maybe flapping his hands and muttering to himself, if you catch him by surprise. (Try not to catch him by surprise. A twitchy, paranoid swordsman isn't a good person to startle.)

He'll happily talk strategy and safety if you raise the subject, though. A little too happily. Like there's something else he's trying not to think about.

One of the books up near the front has a spot to note down names. Under the header, there's a brief explanation.

Traditionally around this time of year back home we'd hold masses to remember and honour the dead. Obviously if ghosts are possessing people, they aren't happy. This might not fix the problem, but we should probably try. Ask Darcy for further information. Date/time/etc tbd

[ Pratt shows up late, and instead of Starbucks he has blood. Lots and lots of blood. His nose is broken, that bloody cross is still there over his forehead, bruises and puffy eyes not to mention Sharky's dental records emblazoned on his arm. He hasn't eaten or slept or changed his clothes in days.

He's holding his Hangman drawing and he tears a sheet out of one of the notebooks to put to the side.]
