Ah, my apologies. I meant no offense -- it's simply that we don't see many new faces here. Fewer still who can handle a blade. [ He nods at Octavia's weapon -- he has a sword of his own belted at his side -- then steps back and bows. ]
Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd, at your service. What may I call you?
[ If he's noticed the blood, he's not mentioning it. ]

[for a complete stranger, his entire demeanor leaves her a bit perplexed and though he seems to reference the sword by her side, she doesn't address that quite yet as she first follows after his introduction in turn] Alright, Dimitri then— my name is Octavia Blake.
no subject
Pleasure to meet you, Octavia, and my condolences on your arrival. [ Dimitri's mouth does something smile-shaped; mostly it makes his face look uncomfortably plastic. ] You've heard the speech from Ms. Friday; have you had the introduction from a passenger yet?
no subject
Yeah— no introductions from any other passengers yet. So what else do I need to know?
1-A
[Max puts both hands up in surrender.]
It's just, you know, you're making one hell of a statement wearing all that blood. You're not hurt, are you?
no subject
For the record though, it isn't my blood. [this is probably the part where she should maybe she could clarify and add some context but yeah she just leaves it at that]
no subject
[Don't ask him why he knows that.]
So, if you're at the muster then this is probably your first day here, right? Do you want some help getting around? Maybe a tour?
[Maybe he can show her where the shower room is in Calgona?]
no subject
If you're offering then sure.
no subject
[He's happy here but he doesn't assume everyone will be.]
Yep. I'm offering. What do you want to see first? Where the food is, where the shopping is, or where the exercise place is? We have a library and a bunch of bars and a pool too.
[They also have a kitchen but he's very protective of it and he doesn't really want her to drip blood on anything in there.]

[He will start to walk them both to the Calgona while he keeps talking.]
So, what kind of place do you come from?

"Sorry. That came out kind of insensitive."
JULY — EXCURSION | ON SHIP
morning after
Tired and annoyed as he is, Sharky's willing to stop his slow toddle up to the arcade to help a newbie out!]
Uhhh, it's like. 50/50 real. They're all gonna die like it's actually happening, but then like, they'll wake up in their beds good as new. Well, good except for the, like, lingering trauma and shit.

[whistful sigh. man, they really had it good before that stupid shadow kid came and fucked everything up. unfortunately, that's about the extent of Sharky's knowledge on the matter.]
He didn't say they were gonna televise the whole goddamn thing, though. That part fuckin' blows.

[he wasn't here for the Battle Royale, and up until now, that had been the only For Sure Gonna Die excursion.]
There was this whole thing a couple months ago where the, like, inner child of the Captain tried to murder us all, and some people sorta broke the ship tryin' to free us. The ship runs on like, bad vibes basically, so now we gotta generate that shit a whole lot more than we were.
Hey Roomie
His head is too quiet. He feels too alone.
But you know what he wasn't expecting? A fucking roommate. Or that's what he's guessing when he comes back to the cabin and he's got-- somebody in there.]
Uhh. Hey.
[What else is he supposed to say?
Unless she's here to fight or murder him or possess him, or whatever the hell else he's gone through since his arrival. In that case, he's gonna take that hey right back.]
no subject
it was the reason she does get caught off guard when the door opens and she notices the older man standing in the doorway. she immediately tenses, unsure what to make of him just yet] Who the hell are you?
no subject
[He doesn't blame her for being caught off guard. He's plenty tense himself. Paranoia is a thing he's got more than a healthy dose of and he doesn't know how he feels about-- this chick he doesn't even know in his room. But he also probably won't get to shoo her out, if this is what he thinks it is.]
The guy whose room you're in. You?
no subject
[though hold up. did he just say that this was his room? she arches her brow giving him a skeptical look even though she has a feeling she knows what this might mean for her rooming situation] Your room? Well I'm pretty sure this is my room now too.
no subject
[But that-- is a predicament. It's not like these places are really well-suited to two people, in his opinion. It was different with Steven, but...]
Of course it is. [He huffs out a sigh and scrubs a hand down his face. Well--]
... We're likely not gonna change that, so. Guess you get the bed. I don't mind the couch... don't really sleep much anyway.
