JUNE OPEN LOG
[but, hey: you shouldn't be left out of the camping fun just because you didn't think to sign up, or you only got here yesterday, or actually you only got here today and you have no idea what's going on! because the camp can come to YOU!
meaning, shortly after seeing the others off, Friday returns to the atrium and begins setting up a few items she's brought from... somewhere, one assumes? a pup tent. two sleeping bags. a tent stove. s'mores accoutrements. there's a fake potted plant that she decided looked enough like a tree. all pushed together in the middle of the atrium.

Emet-Selch browses what's on offer all the same, but with an ever-present hint of disapproval. Why go through all the trouble of setting this up when they are on a ship without the necessary presence of the outdoors?
He glances at the person who addresses him. "An attempt at entertainment, no doubt." He says skeptically. "Have you not spent time in the wilderness before?"

She considers the setup, doubtfully. "I am not sure what is meant to be entertaining about this." A delicate wave of her chubby little hand; the motion is startlingly graceful. Most children her age do not move with such precision.

Save for the fake plants.

It certainly does not appeal to her, an urban creature of high society. Give her a lavish library and theater, not woods and nature. Though at least most animals ignore her, she being dead and therefore rather inoffensive - it was quite the boon in the insect-infested bayous of Louisiana.
Glamping would be more her speed.no subject

But perhaps were she more fanciful, as mortals are, it might. As it is, she considers the man before her. "Have you been here long?" She has not seen him before, but that means little: there are many aboard that run a daytime schedule and thus have never crossed paths with her.

She is probably the only one who is enjoying her time on the ship, and is amused by all the nonsense. Apparently most mortals find it distressing instead of fascinating. More's the pity, there's plenty to enjoy.

She doesn't give out information for free: he'll have to ask questions, and be prepared to give her information in return. She is not particularly altruistic, by nature or nurture, despite Louis' best efforts to give her something like a set of morals.

"Claudia. A pleasure to meet you."

"Then I will leave you to your evening, Claudia. May you find some use of this 'camping' trip."

Another who can appreciate good manners. This ship is decidedly short on decorum, long in murder. Well, it's merely to be expected, she supposes, given the very nature of the cruise. She will have to mind herself around this Emet-Selch, and see exactly what level of authority he is accustomed to, and if he is the sort who sought power for the freedom it gave him, or for some idea of nobility.
If the former, she will make note to avoid him. If the latter...perhaps he might be of some entertainment or use.
