Can't survive on just crabapples [OTA]
Who: Okie and you
What: November catch-all
When: Early to mid month, maybe later
Where: Cabin 126, Windjammer, Chatterbox
1. Frequently, secretly (Closed to Dedue)
Okie has been standing outside of cabin 126 for the last ten minutes. He's nervous. He's been given every assurance that this conversation will go well, but he can only imagine all the ways it won't. But he remembers his Pa's advice; the only cure for indecision is action.
He knocks. "Hey, uh, Dedue? It's Okie. Got a minute?"
2. A boy and his dog
On the first Cowboy Crafts meetup of the month, Okie sets up the usual quilting supplies he usually does, and then disappears for the next hour. When he returns, he has several full laundry bags, which he empties to reveal four dozen assorted stuffed animals from the Build-a-Bear machine. He reaches into the pile, pulls out a dog, and begins to measure out how much fabric it'd take to make it a dress.
3. Karaokie
Okie has learned, over his time here, that when he wants to scream, it's usually better for him to sing instead. So he spends a little over an hour in Chatterbox, singing songs of all different moods.

( Steve moves closer to the stage and slides into a chair at one of the nearby tables. He leans forward, resting his elbows on the tabletop. )
I hear things haven't gotten any better, ( he says, which might not be the most pleasant subject for a karaoke reunion but it's just about the only one on his mind these past two days. A beat, then: ) Sorry.
( Just, like, in general. Sorry for Okie, sorry for Steve. Sorry for everyone stuck here, and everyone stuck somewhere worse. )

( It’s surprising how easy it is for him to say that. The excursions are happening more often, and they’re getting more deadly. But he has more friends now than he ever has. That has to count for something, right? )
It’s good to see you again. I’m sorry you’re back.

It's not that bad.
( An understatement, of course. It's actually very bad to be back, but not as bad a it was being gone. And he'd be lying if he said it wasn't good to see the familiar faces around here. )
But anyway, yeah, it's good to see you too, man. Sorry for crashing the party.

( He leans against the mic stand like a walking stick. This is a lot to digest, here. )
You missed a fuckin’ lot, man. Whole lotta shit you skipped on.

( As okay as anyone can here, he hopes. The karaoke is probably a good-ish sign. )

( Never could figure out how to want to. )
Made new friends at school, got into extracurriculars. Could be a lot worse.
