And then there was a small detective
Who: Conan and You
What: Small detective doing small detective things.
When: Sometime Before April
Where: Atrium - Deck One.
Warnings: eh. I'll get back to you on that one.
Waking up in a strange place is a sadly common for Shinichi-it wasn't even the first time he woke up on a strange boat. At least it wasn't a canoe this time. Still, after meeting with the cruise director and the near heart attack from her knowing his real name. He tried to insist there was a mix up but after that mess he decided to distract himself with a little exploring to get a better idea of the layout and where exactly he is.
The first place he's investigating is the main hall. He's got his notebook out and seems to be taking notes and looking far too calm for the age he appears to be.
He looks over as he hears someone approaching and shoves the notebook in his pocket before putting on his best little kid face and rushing up to them.
"Hello! Do you know where we are?" He offers his sweetest little kid face, eyes bright and innocent.
[[ ooc: Since Conan is a detective and I'm.. not. I made this post for people to info dump about things Conan might notice about your character. ]]

"Not sure. I don't think any of us are sure." And even though he knows the answer he asks anyway: "Didn't come with your parents, did you?"
no subject
"Oh, I don't know... I haven't seen them." He admits, not sounding too worried. Really, he'd be more worried if they were on board. "But it's okay, I don't mind."
no subject
Still, maybe he's wrong. Or maybe the boy is different somehow. Maybe changed. Maybe a spy. Maybe he himself is slowly losing all sense of perspective. Who the hell knows at this point.
"Hope you have someone to look after you anyway." Because it can't be him, but he will and knows it and feels the strain of it already. If he ends up with a knife in his heart due to this gremlin he has no one to blame but himself.
"Hardy," he extends a hand.
no subject
Everything helps to build a better picture of the man and adds to the profile he's building in his mind. After a moment of slight apprehension, Conan takes the man's hand.
"I'm Conan." He states, his tone still more cheerful than the situation of a lost child should really call for.
"Ran-neechan and Kogoro-Ojisan look after me but I haven't seen them here either. Maybe you have? Uncle is Japanese with a small mustache and smokes a lot, Ran-neechan has blue eyes and dark hair with a lean in it." He cups his hands together to indicate a triangle that he holds up where said lean would go.
He's not optimistic about if they're here because he hasn't any sign that they might be but it didn't hurt to ask.

He hadn't been going anywhere particularly important, just wandering as he usually did.
"Hey there, little guy. Don't suppose your parents are around?"
Wishful thinking, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
no subject
"I don't think so. I haven't see them." He admits easily enough and then redirects the subject. "Do you know what Ocean we're on?"
no subject
That was something he hadn't considered before, not that it would make much difference. In his own world there wasn't really anything like variety in the oceans since everything that lay beyond the continent were considered lands of the Dark Sea save for Inazuma. The continent was vast, but there were still some places even beyond the dominion of the gods.
"I'm afraid I don't. Do they have a lot of them where you're from?"
no subject
"Mm! There's five all together. Or, well there's considered to be five. Over 70% of Earth's surface is water so it's really all connected. What about you?" Because if he says anything different then Shinichi might need to start being a little more concerned.

"That's a rather complicated question, and possibly not one anyone can answer properly," he says. "It is a rather difficult situation to explain. How long have you been here?"
no subject
"Since early this morning. I was hoping someone could at least tell me the ocean we're on."
no subject
"I'm not sure anyone can tell you that, honestly. I dearly wish I could." Watson is sympathetic, but good God is it nearly impossible to find a way to impart this sort of bad news to a small child. "We don't know where we are, none of us, unless someone isn't telling. My name is Dr. Watson. Who might you be?"
no subject
That's ridiculous of course and he shoves the thought aside faster than it can form and just continues his small innocent gaze.
"I'm Conan." He states, watching the man closely, watching for any kind of reaction to the name. "Edogawa Conan. I'm a detective."

The boy's glasses might not actually have been as thick as coke bottles but those were details Crowley hadn't bothered to look at too closely. He was all flash and swagger, being far too cool to pay too much attention to anything other than the drink he had been enjoying. The wine had only been set aside as there seemed to be a lost human kid running around the deck and well... you play the part of a Nanny for a decade trying to corrupt an Antichrist and some of those protective instincts stick.
"Which activity club are you playing truant from?"
no subject
"I wouldn't do that. It's Sunday." He says calmly. "Or.. it was." He glanced towards the exit. "Do you know which Ocean this cruise is sailing on?" He turns his head back to Crowley.
no subject
Was it Sunday though? Hey! What did you know had been. Sunday, very first day of the rest of their lives, when he and his best friend Aziraphale had managed to win their freedom from Heaven and Hell. Also apparently cruise ship kidnapping day, where he lost that freedom again just that quickly. Sundays were not his day.
"The unknown deep, the fathoms... I'm sure if it has a name its something appropriately macabre. Did you just get here?"
no subject
"When did you get here?"

Malcolm's coming back from picking his laundry up. The suit he wore to the icebreaker party is neatly pressed and placed in a bag. They may all be stuck here, but at least the amenities are decent.
As he approaches his room, Malcolm sees a child lingering outside the door. "Hi," Malcolm says, returning the smile. "This is my room. If you're asking where the boat is though, I'm afraid I can't help you with that."
no subject
"That's weird, this is the same room I woke up in this morning." He states flatly. "Do you not know where the cruise is because you just woke up here, too?"
no subject
His brow furrows when the boy mentions that he woke up in this room. Malcolm doesn't see how that possibly could have happened. Wouldn't Malcolm have noticed?
"106?" he asks, pointing to the number on the door. "I don't think so. Are you lost?" Maybe the kid go turned around somehow.

Still, it's a kid, and she has absolutely no experience with children, but Ava tries to adjust her features into something more friendly. Crouches just a bit. "Deck one," she tells him, quite helpfully. And then as if just remembering the whole context of the situation, frowns. "Did you just arrive?"
no subject
"Oh, I was talking about which Ocean..." He states easily. "But that's good to know too, it'll help me label properly when I make a map."
no subject
"I've made some maps," Ava does not have any of them on her, but it feels relevant enough. All sorts of scribbled notes about different areas she's observed. "If you... would like them for reference," she offers, because she doesn't like the idea of a lost kid wandering into something dangerous.
"Are you... here on your own?"

Oh you little shit, this works on César too fucking well
"We're on the Serena Eterna. I'm César Salazar. What's your name?" He's hoping he recognizes his last name, because why are there young children on board.
no subject
"I'm Conan." He offers. "Do you know which ocean this is?" He asks, a pleading look on his face.
no subject
"I don't, unfortunately. No recognizable landmasses or constellations in the night sky. The only ones not flying blind are the Captain and those he's informed." He is definitely more concerned than he normally is about this, considering current company.
