You better get ready to die [Open]
Who: Siffleur and you
When: Latter half of January, post-launch, post confrontation with Ari
Where: Tommy Bahamas, Friday's desk, various places around the ship.
Warnings: Cannibalism, body horror, violence, usual Siffleur warnings.
1. this is your time to pay - Friday's desk (OTA)
For those looking for Siffleur in person, he will be hard to find the first three days after the rocket's launch. That's because he's with Friday for large swathes of it, leaving reluctantly to check on others or to eat. But for most looking for him in the direct aftermath, he will be found curled by Friday's feet underneath her desk.
And a few of those who participated in the violence against Friday may quickly find a snarling cougar climbing on the desk if they try to talk to her.
2. this is your judgment day - Texts - open to CR
Reaching Siffleur by text is much easier. So easy in fact that many people will find him reaching out to them first. Most people he cares for will receive a simple message: Are you okay?
Nepeta receives something more specific: I am very proud of you.
Valdis another: Mom wants to know if you had to put the ring on.
And there's a text to someone Siffleur has never spoken to personally: Hello Phil. This is Siffleur. I want to thank you for what you did during the riot. I do not think I would have been able to stop Grace without violence. I am grateful that you did. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help.
3. we made a sacrifice - Tommy Bahamas (OTA)
The day after his violent confrontation with Ari, Siffleur returns to the Tommy Bahamas. It's a mess here, a few paths cut through the waist-high surge of hot dogs in the first 30 meters of the store, but otherwise no dent anywhere.
The only thing he can be glad about is that they don't rot.
After a quick consultation with his mother, Siffleur gets to work. He can be found loading buckets with hot dogs, and carrying them to the ruins of the casino. Among the burnt out sections, he's set up a number of trash cans where he's burning the hot dogs, doing his best to dispose of them. Friends will be given a nod. Those who gleefully participated in the riot will be ignored unless they approach him first.
4. and now we get to take your life - Various (OTA)
He doesn't hide. Siffleur knows there will be retaliation or consequences for what he's done to Ari, and he's fine with it. Some retaliation will be justified, some unjustified, but it will happen either way. Someone he once said he would never hurt has had that privilege taken back. Others will not like it, just as Arthur clearly was unsettled by his refusal to promise to not hurt Ari again. That's their right.
But he also isn't going out of his way to seek confrontation. You might see him eating at the buffet like usual, or smoking at Bobby B's between the endless incineration of hot dogs. You might also see a very strange sight - Siffleur actually helping clean up the ship. Friday's still hurting after all - might hurt forever - and he wants to lessen any demands she might be feeling. He's taken some supplies from Sundries and can be found cleaning up broken glass, or occasionally even mopping soot off the floors.
You might even occasionally catch him taking a break, sitting on the floor and talking to his mother through the spirit box.
5. now close your eyes and say goodnight
It's not just Siffleur one might find roaming the ship. The woman from November is here, though she looks different. She carries herself with more confidence, dressed in only two layers instead of dozens of them. She stops now and then to look at the wreckage and makes notes in a book, or to walk inside the ones who aren't trashed. Find her having a drink in some of the bars, or sitting on the sports deck and looking at the sky. There's peace in her eyes now.
One might also find her in Stellar between the dinner services, carefully drawing sigils in blood on the carpet and walls.

judgement day
Hi, Siffleur. It's nice to meet you more properly for once although I wish the circumstances were better.
Stopping Grace was just the thing to do. It wasn't just me she was sinking. And she's my friend, she needed someone there. She was lonely.
I should be asking you the reverse. I saw how you were running around that day, and that's a lot of hot dogs in the Bahama.
no subject
She is a very lonely girl and she often acts first, following her emotions. I know this makes it hard for her to befriend people. I am glad you were able to reach her and calm her.
It's too many hot dogs. I'm going to start burning them in the Casino. Eleanor was also having a difficult time. The messages on the signs were very effective and caused so much damage. I am frustrated by how willing people were to follow them. But that is past now.
no subject
Anyway, the things I need help with aren't really anything someone can do something about right now. I've just been trying to just be productive cleaning things up and keeping an eye on the sky. Can I help you ferry hot dogs or something?

2 first, heading in a 3ward direction
I saw all the sausages in the Tommy Bahama. I'm thankful that nothing spoils here, because otherwise by the end of the week the ship would smell so bad that I'd let the nightmare entities take me with only mild complaining. I don't think even Ylva's dinosaur form could eat all of it in a reasonable timeframe.

(It doesn't.)
I agree. Things are unpleasant enough without them molding. I expect Ylva would get sick quickly too. Hot dogs are fine in small amounts but I have seen how they are made and I would rather eat offal without the preservatives.
I have been thinking about disposal methods. Friday does not have to respond to fires in designated smoking areas. The casino was set on fire during this. I think my plan this week will be to set up burning barrels and to start a few fires, and dispose of as many as I can that way.
Do you have ways to make that much meat into more of those meat bats? Or does that only work with an arm?
no subject
[ He gets an ability that would help with that later, but he's from too early in his canon for it. Come on Erda! Give him the transmutation skill tree! You know you want to grant this man the power to transmute meat into different meat! ]
I'd also need wooden sticks, which I have a medium amount of, and leathery hides, which are in short supply here and I only have enough to make a few. (Please don't peel your skin off for me to make more, if that's where your thoughts were going.) Arming the other passengers was a good idea, but there are too many problems with the materials.
[ Maybe if they peeled a lot of hotdogs and stuck the casings together that would make something similar enough to pig skin? ]
That seems like a waste, but I suppose we need space more than we need food. We already have infinite cheese. Do you need any help hauling it?

Judgement Day
I forgot it in my hurry to see what was going on. Foolish of me. It seems to be getting worse though, even with the ring.

I can't understand. This isn't an escape plan. Any predator outside this place knows where we are now.

They are making a lot of assumptions regarding who I am, and that really bothers me.

"What are doing? Are going to eat all these?" Even for him this seems like a lot of hot dogs. "Should be on sticks."

He scratches his beard as the smell of cooking (and burning) fills the air. "The kitchen might have something you can use for sticks."

Pulling one of the stools from the poker table over to the flaming trash cans, he perches on it, arms around his knees as he keeps an eye on it all. "Have seen before back home. They sit around in circle with these on sticks, put in fire and then eat them. Then they do the same with white cubes, didn't like those very much. And then go in bags and sleep. Is ritual."

But the box isn't there. He tosses that one, and the others, and then he goes to the checkout counter to look there. But the spirit box isn't with his things.
Next he goes to the cabin, just in case he lost it somewhere else and it was taken back there. But there's no sign of them. He checks Jack's cabin, and his usual sitting places.
It's around then that he realizes he can't find the notebook either. That's when he feels a pit of ice form in his stomach.
Siffleur makes his way to Friday's desk, his voice flat as he asks her-] Friday, I can't find the spirit box my mom uses, or the journal. Do those items still exist on the ship, or have they been destroyed?

She has no idea where Siffleur sits on the irresponsible-responsible adult scale. You can eat people and still have ideas about lung health.

"I'm burning what I can, but it's going to take a while." He straightens up, hand on his hip as he looks over the mess. Then he looks at Demona. "They only go in about 30 meters, so you can fly over them to get to the rest of the store."
