[ They're not normal, not in the least. It's something that an aristocratic prodigy should recoil from, and so how strange is it that the soft smile remains on his face? It must be his trade, for psychology training tells one to judge no one; not those of the underworld any more than the public facing.

Is it so common where you're from...? I have to admire you for surviving in such a place... Ahaha, I was quite sheltered, so the worst I had to deal with was fights as a youth.

[ Though one of them ended rather poorly, but well, nevermind that. No one would ever guess it for how proper he is now. ]

You really should tell me about your adventures sometime.

In a way, I was a lil' sheltered, too. My people weren't really allowed to go outside of our city.

(idly, jinx reaches over to pick little lint and fuzz off his clothing. her breathing is calm and steady as she slowly shuts her eyes.)

[ His eyes flick down as she plucks the lint off. It's amazing how much can be learned from just a few words, and how sad it is that she's been no more than a bird in a cage for her entire life. ]

You wanna know about Zaun, eh? Well, my friend — Zaun is a city where the air is polluted and no sunlight. The food is covered in mold a lotta times so you gotta pick around to get to get the sweet spots. There's still quality food sometimes, but you rush for it before the big ones get it.

And even if you do that, there's still a chance you can get mugged or tackled down so it's better to learn some self-defense. BUT!! It's not all bad, the sounds of rusty pipes day in and out gives a nice lullaby feel when you sleep. Aaaaand last but not least, you gotta feed your rat roommates. Otherwise, they'll pick at your feet underneath the covers.

(sounds lovely, does it not? such a wonderful place to live compared to any other city. except, it isn't. not by a landside.)
