This one, sure. My guild has a boat back home, the Fiertia. It's pretty great, wouldn't have seen half as much as we did without it. But, wasn't really a vacation. Used it for work, mostly.

Eh, this and that. Mostly delivery jobs and babysitting jobs. [ That last part is said with a smile. It wasn't really babysitting, at all. ] There's this princess, Estelle. The guild is escorting her all around, helping her out.

[ Wanda smiles faintly, fingers tapping against her glass. ]

Is she nice? This...princess Estelle?

Estelle? Oh, yeah. Probably the nicest person I've ever met. She's, what did she called her... compassionate. She'll put her life on the line to save anyone, no matter who they are. [ To her own detriment, too. Yuri is quiet for a moment, looking across the room at nothing, before shaking his head and being a little more succinct: ]

Yeah, she's nice.

I used to know people like that.

[ Steve was like that, self sacrificing. Compassionate. Kind. Vision, too - the more he learned about humanity, the more wonderful he became.

She takes a breath, smiles. ]

They're good, to have in your life.

[ He lapses into silence, not really fussed about saying very much. He takes another sip of his drink. But then: ]

[ The lapse has her lost in thought, thinking about those people, the kind ones, the good ones, and how they've been taken from her. ]

[ She blinks back into the present, white noise of the party becoming clear once more. ]

They...aren't around anymore.

[ He makes a soft sound, nodding his head, looking out into the party without really seeing anyone ]

...I'm sorry. Losing people like that, it leaves a mark.

It does. I like...to think it leaves positive marks, too. Not just bad ones.

[ There are good memories of them. Funny ones. Better ones to dwell on, than the bad. ]

[ He nods, looking down at his drink. That's a good way of thinking about it ]

You're right. People like that, maybe we can't keep them forever, but the world would be a lot worse without them.

Y'know, I almost lost Estelle. It was one of the scariest damn things that I've ever seen.
