Thanks MB. Fortunately sitting at a table completely hides that from view so that's where he is.He has several decks of cards, chosen for having the least damaged edges, and he's shuffling them with practiced ease, bridging the deck at the end with the cards fluttering into place, the gentle sound pretty much drowned out by the noise of the arcade machines and the constant music.
Dealing out a hand to himself and the house he glances up, white diodes of his eyes (and the seven red lights in his forehead) extremely visible in the darkness of the room, "Care to try your luck?"

And then blinks in surprise at being invited to join. Had her staring been that obvious? Ava flickers a bit as she moves closer, fingers curling over the back of a chair. "Oh. Sure. I don't have much to lose."
no subject
There's no reaction to the flickering, Sombra does that enough that he barely notices it anymore. At least Ava's isn't accompanied by loud music or purple sparklers. In his mind that's a vast upgrade.
"I'm told the stores don't even accept money, though I've not tried to purchase anything."

Either way, at some point between hands, Skulduggery does indeed appear by the table, settling into the chair opposite Max with his customary grin.
"Maximilien, good to see you," he says, the picture of Irish goodwill and cheer, "And good to see that you're a gambling man. What's the game?"
no subject
"I wouldn't say that. I own a casino, however; Omnics are not permitted to gamble. Not by my choice, obviously." His voice is as disdainful as it gets. It's not as if his ability to calculate probabilities and count cards would actually benefit him in any statistically significant way. There's 2,598,960 possible hands that can be dealt in a 52-card deck and even he can't keep track of that many probabilities.
"Poker most likely, not that we have anything relevant to bet. Though I did manage to walk out of the casino with an entire bucket of chips. No one seemed to mind."

Which, while factual, hasn't done anything to drive Clarke from hovering around the poker table and tracking the way he shuffles cards with the perfunctory smoothness of spent rifle casings flying out of a semi-automatic weapon. It also does absolutely nothing to prevent her from drifting closer to the table, fixated first on the handfuls of playing cards, putting names of face-card values, and eventually dragging her eyes to match white diodes with burning blue irises.
Most importantly, a lack of knowledge doesn't keep her from sitting down opposite him. Elbows on the edge of the table, arms crossed in front of her. Body language awfully defensive someone about to ask for card lessons, and pointedly never expand on why the sudden urge to learn how to play has become so pressing within the last month.
"But I can be a quick study."

He picks up a single chip from the bucket he has next to him, flipping it through his fingers thoughtfully. There's something odd about how she's sitting there, like she's been forced here against her will. But he won't remark on it, for now.
"There's several variations, is there one in particular you'd like to learn?"

"Sure, why not. There's no money here, so I've got nothing to lose." Plus she's already dead back home, so she truly has nothing left to lose. She's actually only heard the names of various card games, not the exact rules, but she was about to see how quickly she could learn.
"What game are we playing?"
no subject
"Poker. Blackjack. Anything else would need more than two players. Have you played either before?"
no subject
... I could consider it. What are we playing?
no subject
There's no stakes so, its a perpetual high rollers table.

venti does love his vices though alcohol is definitely more his choice than gambling. still, he's pretty familiar with card games or others! and doesn't this player look intriguing? venti helps himself to a seat opposite max, head atilt in curiosity, a small catlike smile. ] I sure would, I'm feeling lucky! [ no, his luck might just go terribly. if not in the game, then with everything else. ]
What game, and what stakes?
no subject
Let us see if that luck holds. Poker, Blackjack, whatever suits your fancy.
[And as for stakes...]
Currently nothing, I have some chips from the casino but seeing as how there's no money here, they're about as worthless as the plastic they're minted from.

But the flyer appears, and Yuri is so excited and a chance to be social and let loose does sound nice after everything, and so Flynn drags himself there, acquires a grapefruit juice from an only-somewhat-judgmental bartender, and... mingles.
Watches, really, and talks with a few people until he ends up over by the games, hears a challenge, and. Well. Flynn's never been able to ignore a challenge. His eyes flick up, and he smiles very slightly at the invitation, stepping forward. ]
It's been a long time since I played anything like this. You'll be at quite the advantage.
[ Bring it, in other words. ]

... Oh! They have Mario Kart!
( because mario is universal. clearly. )
(Lucy)
They had a racing game for it?
[It's entirely possible that her orphanage's video game collection had the first Mario Kart released in 1992, but Lucy hadn't been much of a gamer in her childhood. Plus the boys who bullied her had a tendency to hang around the video games, so she had stayed far away.
And were those bear ears? Or were they just part of the other girl's hairstyle? Lucy's own horns could be mistaken for cat ears.]

racing though, he hasn't tried before. but he kind of has an interest in games now, he'd totally try! he taps cheerfully at the screen, offers a smile at gummy. ] Whoa, these karts look rather cute!
How do you play?

Pool Trick Shots
He's found one of his own, and thus, he's just... trying various simple trick shots ((warning: sound in respective tricks links)).
This one misses, but only at the end. "Almost. Still good for being years out of practice."

"Try it again."

Old-fashioned games with Sarge
His aim is unsettlingly good with the darts, even when seemingly distracted.
He can be talked into pool if anyone wants to set up a game, and when he tires of darts he can be found with a deck of cards laying out a solitaire spread. "I don't know how I know this," he tells anyone who comes to talk to him. "But I think I can play a bunch of card games."
