I wonder about that. Elrios is the material plane, and where I come from. There are two planes adjacent to that, Empyrean and the Demon Realm. The former is akin to the heavens, and the latter is as it sounds on the tin.

[There are demons there. Also it has four moons.]

Ah... roughly 500 years ago, Elrios suffered from a cataclysm that tore the continent asunder and caused numerous regions to become unstable, with rifts to the dimension of Henir — the void that is between each of the realms I just mentioned — opening up sporadically across the globe. These rifts are quite easy to accidentally find oneself trapped in, if one falls into them, and... survival is unfortunately unlikely.

[That, or the person comes out mutated beyond belief, a shell of their former self, unless they're particularly resilient. Ebalon doesn't mention that part, nor does he mention the fact that the apocalypse was his entire fucking fault.]

We do, yes. They actually invented interplanar portal technology, so we now have an effective way to move between the two realms without needing to cross Henir and risk certain death.

I can't say one way or another if I'm looking forward to going back home, huhu. On one hand, life here gets rather boring from time to time. On the other hand, there's many things here that we don't have on Elrios, such as these phone devices, and ships like this made for pleasantries rather than simply carrying cargo. I'm having a wonderful time learning about the scope of the universe at large from other passengers as well.

Well, I definitely wouldn't call the ship boring, but I can't say I'm thrilled about the prospect of being someone's plaything. Also, not a huge fan of being kidnapped? But at least the other kidnappees are pleasant.

I quite agree with you there. I do think I tire of doing the same thing day in and day out — this is a refreshing change of pace.

[ She can't remember if he established their relationship or not, but if he's on "good boy" terms, then they're probably friends. ] That idiot's gonna break his heart. Has some immortal woes or whatever. [ She doesn't normally go gossiping about what people confide in her. But also... she angy. ]

Mizuki's been upset with him before, but he's young. So, it's not like I can just tell him to stop chasing assholes.

[Ah, yes, the green one! Ebalon is... like... 5% familiar! Very cool. He turns to look at La Pluma after he gets a good look at Venti (wet). Keep it subtle and all.]

[And indeed young, he reads that way to Ebalon who's... secretly very old, shh. It's very easy to tell who's still a bit "young and dumb" as it were, at least in his eyes.]

If he does something to Mizuki, I'll have to lend an ear to his woes, should he come to me that is. [haha] If I may, you seem rather versed in this sort of thing.

She's also entirely unaware that Ebalon is not a good friend. ] I've also, you know, just been in love before. Went through that heartbreak. Was a lot easier on me, though... I'm not a very passionate person.

But... Mizuki... has terrible tastes, and just loves a whole lot. It's a bad combo.

My, are you sure? I apologise; I'm rather old fashioned. [He's still going to refer to her as Lady La Pluma to others because after keeping up the masquerade of a Nice Polite Boy for so long, some things kind of just... stick?]

Huhu, I suppose you could say that, though any facts I could provide might be odd here. Elrios has two moons, after all. But, no, it means I'm the Master of that element, chosen by the Elrian Kingdom itself, and one of the six protectors of Elrios at large. There are other masters of the Sun, Fire, Water, Earth, and Wind elements. [And all of them are good, nice people who actually try their hardest — well, the Wind Master only when things get serious, but still. Ebalon does not belong in this category of Good Nice Folk.]
