[as you exit the elevator and walk towards the pool deck on Halloween night, you follow a sort of labyrinth of panels and decorations. about halfway through the maze, a scythe swings into your path, and a tall animatronic crackles to life:]

It is harvest time. I can smell it in the air. And I sense your soul is ripe for harvesting as well. When your time comes, my scythe will cleave your soul right off the vine like a ripened pumpkin. Time for carving!

[welcome to Halloween aboard the Serena Eterna.

the Infinite Spirit Halloween has been put to good use by a crack team of Mizuki and Ebalon, and half of it seems to now be located around the deck on the main pool. the pool has been dyed a swamp-like green; fake plastic vines and (hopefully) fake plastic limbs float in the waters. there are fog machines studded throughout that are putting out a frankly dangerous amount of fog, and it can be pretty difficult to tell if your next step is onto the floor or directly into the pool.

there is food available on a long table on the side, but it’s entirely the usual fare found in the buffet, though there are also two punch bowls: one is a delicious fruit punch, and the other is about 99% vodka and then a single orange. the bar is also open, with extra liquor bottles scavenged from the other bars on the ship. Halloween music plays from unseen speakers.

Friday is here, and dressed in costume, but never seems to stop fussing and rushing around long enough to actually have a conversation with. but, hey! Jenny is here! hooray!

[Oh hey, it's Jinx! This kid was too much of a sullen idiot to appreciate the attention she was giving him, but Notsuno knows every prank and death threat should be cherished. He'd be pissed off too if someone stole his victory by playing defense and whining about it - hell, he'd just break the kid's face the moment he revived. But Jinx was kind and lovely enough to shower him with violent affection even though he kept rejecting her clearly thought out gift. Notsuno can't believe the brat didn't try to fight her even once - all-out battle, his speed against hers, his strength against her bullets, not unplugging a video game like a pussy.

They should let Jinx keep her body. She'll be so fun to have around.]

(so. there's a lot of things wrong with this situation in just a short amount of time. one, natsuno approaching her when he specifically wanted the two of them to not interact. two, he is swaying to the music. jinx spent a lot of her months having a close eye on him, and never once he ever danced or enjoyed music in these parties? at least, not where she can recall. three, his mannerisms and speech patterns. it's a complete contrast of how he would be. and lastly, he hates her. therefore, for him to like anything regarding her (clothing or not), it's a one-eighty.

...hm.

she remembers the meeting in the library about some crewmates becoming possessed by ghosts or demons? who knows. however, natsuno wasn't on that list. it was listed of names she didn't recognized. but what if more possession activties took place since then? that could very much be the case here. so her game plan for now is to play around and act entirely oblivious (this ghost or demon may go to the extreme if she questions it out right) -- with a trademark impish smirk.)

I thought about it but I don't wanna deal with wet blankets again. — They can be a reeeaaal pain, y'know? 'Sides, I gotta have some people on my corner.

(aka she doesn't want to disappoint venti/barbatos. but not only him, fio is back in her life and she will do her very best to stay killing-free if she can help it.)

Yyyyyeaaah, Snow is really somethin'. Definitely a good listener, lil' emotional but it's somethin' I can handle.

(setting her bunny down somewhere, jinx folds her arms over her chest -- an eyebrow quirking.)

— And you? Which corner are you on?

[He knits his hands behind his neck, rocking back and forth on his heels. His grin is easy, friendly even.]

Oh really? Given everythin' we've been through? (a beat.) Or should I drop the act and give you the room to convince me on why I want you specifically on my side?

Well, you could say I had big change of heart lately.

[He smiles wider. Natsuno never smiled quite so freely. She's onto him, which makes sense because he wasn't even trying.]

What, you want me to give you a sales pitch? I just like you. I think we have the same idea of fun.

Eh, it's in my blood. Can't help to spot things as an offer and see where it's beneficial for me. It's not often I hear someone say my kind of fun is theirs.

(is it wrong for her to bond over this ghost who will probably snap and kill others? possibly. but then again... she could probably use this "bond" to her advantage later. who knows.)

So, what's your kick then? Explosions? Fire? Stabbin' someone while they beg for mercy, consider it for five seconds, then go right back to it?

Beating the crap out of them with my bare hands until they can't get up. But explosions are pretty cool too!

[He giggles. This ghost is definitely not entirely sane.]

That's life, you know? Strong existences devour the weak ones. And I want to be the strongest. So I keep gobbling them up.

Mmm... isn't THAT the truth? Now I'm curious, how are you gobbling 'em up? Are you literally eating 'em oooooorrr....?

(and the giggle he makes, she isn't at all phase by it. in fact, she was expecting it. jinx had said this once before and she'll keep saying it. "psycho recognizes psycho".)

No, nothing like that. Beating them into submission is enough! Then I find someone stronger and train until I can beat them too.

You and my sis would get along. She's all about knockin' skulls 'til their brains slip out. As for me? I'm more of a gun type. (a small shrug.) — I don't have fat hands so noooot the best with those. With kicks, I'm pretty good. Still perfer guns.

(with her arms still folded over her chest, jinx does a little pivot to stare out to the crowd of the entire pool party. she doesn't speak right away -- in fact, it may appear as if she is thinking pretty heavily over this list she is about to give him.)

... Fio. (that's a given, really.) Duggery, Ava. (because they are link to her.) — Ekko, Seraphine. (people from her realm.) ... Ebalon, Venti, ... and Mizuki. (because the greedy jellyfish needs to have his both boys. ugh.) Izzy... and Darcy, I guess.

(anyone with eyes can see the two of them are close. jinx looks on further at the crewmates.) If ya see those God twins, not them, either. You can try but they'll kill you for sure. Waston and his family, not 'em. ... Chrissy or Dylan. Hands off. There's a troll fish guy? Also not him.

I'm not gonna hurt Fio, jeez! She's just a kid. [Bloodthirsty as he is, he always had a soft spot for children. Whether his young teammates or fellow passengers, he tried to be a good big brother figure.] Mizuki would be an awesome rival, but...

[He shrugs, smiling at her.]

Alright! Since I like you, I won't touch any of them. Everyone else is fair game.
