I was a teenage werewolf

Who: Max Brinly and Laura Kearney's unbetter halves, and YOU!
What: The wolfsbane's bloomed, and the moon is full and bright
When: December 8th, the night of the full moon
Where: All over the ship
Warnings: Violence and gore, with the potential to shade into body horror depending on how bad good bad the fights get

1. I had a teen-land mind, I had to blow my top [the brig, CLOSED to laura and jack]

A pall goes across Max's face as Jack closes the brig door. He wants to make a joke, like, 'do we get room service?' or 'promise you'll let us out again!' or whatever, but the words get stuck somewhere in his throat and he has to make do with a weak sort of grin.

Cool. Cool cool cool. No big deal, just back in jail and wanting to cry and drill a hole in the floor Great Escape style, no problem. Deep breath.

"Alright, babe, this is... gonna feel like crap," he says gently to Laura. It's 1) kinda his fault she's in here too, and 2) her first time, and he would really like to make it a bit easier and less confusing than it was for him the first time he popped. "But no worse than, like, that flu that went around freshman year. Remember that thing? It's nothing, you got this. I got you."

2. and under teen full moon, no-one could make me stop [around the ship, OPEN]

2a. multipack

The warm, salt night air is split by a wolf's piercing howl. It's answered by another, just as loud.

There are predators on board the ship.

The smell of accumulated humanity -- and other smells, a hotpot of smells, a whole Korean barbecue of different living meats -- draws them first to the Promenade. Two hulking hairless creatures, tall even on all fours, growling and slavering from mouths with far too many teeth.

The electric lights are bright, brighter than they'd like, but not so bright that they can't see. At first the two werewolves just lope excitedly from new smell to new smell, giving the loudest joints such as Rischie a wide berth, noses to the ground as they explore this totally alien environment of ice cream parlours and restaurants. As soon as they pick up someone's fresh scent, though, or hear somebody moving around? Exploration will turn into hunting faster than you can say 'bad doggy'.

2b. sold separately
They peel off from one another after a while, the better to hunt. Who knows where you might be when you hear a scuffling of claws on the floorboards, or a snuffling of nostrils, or see a pair of bright yellow eyes shining in a hideous face?

Maybe you'll encounter Max, or maybe you'll encounter Laura. Or maybe which one you encounter won't matter all that much, because neither of them is in the driver's seat right now.

[ OOC: welcome one and all to Full Moon Hours!
➼ We both have permissions posts for werewolf stuff: here is Laura's and here is Max's. Check out Max's for info about werewolves in their canon, including helpful info should you wish to fight and/or get bitten by one.
➼ If you're tagging, please comment on one or both of these posts with what a werewolf's powerful sense of smell might pick up from you!
➼ We've planned which characters are going to take Max and Laura down, but outside of that, this is basically a free-for-all so long as neither of them are permanently incapacitated. Go nuts!
➼ Visual learner? Me too. Here's these gross lil werewolves in screenshot, gif, and video format (please do not @ max about this video he had a tummy ache and he was trying so hard). ]

[The ichor in a demigod's veins connects them to their divine parent, but it's not unheard of for one to develop a legend that doesn't align neatly with said parent. For example, Zeus's children (many of whom ascended to full godhood) included Sun-touched Apollo and his Moon-blessed sister, War-ridden Ares, Chaos gremlin Dionysus...

It's not unheard of, but Bash never expected to manifest powers from an entirely new Purview while on the ship. He was surprised before Halloween, when his Darkness powers grew stronger, allowing him to manifest the shadow weapons he passed out to those defending the ship at the party. And tonight, he is surprised as well, feeling the full moon singing in his veins, like his blood has turned into...not ice, but something that evokes the same clarity. Like flowing glass that isn't molten, like quicksilver, like flute music.

He's almost caught in a daze or a trance or something, drawn up to the deck by the idea of seeing the moon. Almost without thinking, as he leaves the cabin, he grabs for one of his (other) most recent gifts from Sundries: a black pool cue. It's an instinctual thing. Though when he sees the blood in the cabin hallway, he's all the more grateful to have it with him.

It is somewhere in the middle, between his cabin door and the deck, that he finds Laura. Which is fitting, isn't it? Places in the middle are where a psychopomp thrives. They are divinities of journeys and liminalities, not destinations.]
