Who? Jack and various, plus one for Eleanor and one for Siffleur Where: Tommy Bahama, Promenade, various parts of the ship What- You know the drill, flowers are making his life difficult and then also yours
[no one is manning the metal detector; Friday isn’t anywhere near it. technically, this means you could smuggle whatever you want into the excursion. but, Friday would be sad if she found out, so is it really worth it?
Who: Jack, various, Venom What: Post excursion clarity (pos), post excursion clarity (neg), roommate business Where: Various Warnings: discussion of how Jack and Siffleur ended the sinking ship excursion may be touched upon, Jack's casual attitude about dying and being dead, uh............. will add more if need be
1.
Three days after the excursion and Jack is back and walking around the ship with a spring in his step and a smile on his face. He's at his usual haunts: mastering a cabinet in the arcade, rotating through the restaurants, checking out the cheese shop, lounging about by the pool, remarkably upbeat after such a harrowing excursion.
This is because he doesn't know it was televised. Who's gonna tell him?
2.
Well, one way or another, he can't stay ignorant forever. He finds out, and for the next week his trips between the Tommy Bahama, his room, and wherever he's grabbing food from are as stealthy as he can manage.
As a 6'2" man in brightly patterned shirts, that's easier said than done. But hey, he managed to sneak through just fine in a half-sunken city full of people who'd attack him the second they saw him, an intact ship ought to be a cakewalk!
Maybe it's a bit silly since he and Siffleur and what they got up to in the Tommy Bahama was something of an open secret before the penalties of dying changed. But there's people reading a sign declaring you 'most delicious', and then there's having your face - and god knows what else - out there for everyone to see in detail.
Fuck, maybe he should just duck out for another three days.
3. CLOSED TO VENOM
That's not to say Jack's always in Tommy Bahama. He actually does like to sleep in a bed, so for about half the week he's sleeping in his room like normal.
This persists even while he's hiding from his shame, and in fact his room feels even more like a personal sanctuary now. The Tommy Bahama is fine for disappearing in, but he can properly hide in his room.
So, it's understandable why he lets his guard down entirely the second the door is shut behind him, and how little he checks his surroundings as he crosses right to his bed and flops down face-first on it.
Who: Jack and anyone When: January at various points, and/or whenever the cheese shop showed up, idk time is fake What: eating, noticing siffleur's tommy bahama sign, playing with a TDM prompt, and drowning his sorrows Where: Infinite Tommy Bahamas, La Fromagerie Infinie, Windjammer, Wildcard Warning: Jack's drinking at the bar, but otherwise nothing up top, will warn if anything comes up
Who: Okie and you! What: Quilting, sewing lessons, and being weirdly okay about dying When: Early January Where: The buffet
Come one, come all to the Cowboy Crafts Corner! Your host, Okie, has placed a quickly made poster or two around the ship, and has set up shop on a bunch of pushed together buffet tables one quiet evening. Among the supplies to be found are a huge pile of Tommy Bahama shirts, collected in armfulls over the course of several days, a set of square plates borrowed from the diner, a handful of markers, one pair of scissors, two steak knives, and every sewing kit he could find in the general store.
The theme of this day's project will be quilting! There will be stations for stenciling, where participants will use the plates and markers to mark squares in the shirts, cutting, where participants will use one sharp implement or another to cut said squares out of the shirts, and sewing, where the individual squares will be made into other, much bigger squares. Okie will be keeping tabs on the stock of shirts available for disassembly and offering assistance or teaching around the sewing stations.
The main rule is to have fun! Secondary rules include not using the cutting implements on any other participants and telling Number 6 if he asks that Okie really promises to clean up after and return the plates and knives.
Who: Ava Starr & Whoever (6, Maximilien, Skulduggery, and ota) What: recovery, lowkey double birthday, possible confrontations When: end of December, very beginning of January Where: mostly her room, the casino, library & coffee shop Warnings: discussions of excursion killings

[the voice from the imaginary loudspeaker resounds again.]
I do believe that’s the best you all can do. Hopefully it will be enough… Gather in the lobby at your earliest convenience. There, you will find an elevator. It will take you to your next location. [pause] Mind the severed heads.
[the elevator they find in the lobby is not one that had been there before: it is strange, a bit too large and industrial for what is generally a Victorian manor. nothing will compel them to board it, but… hey. if you stay behind, you miss out on all the fun, right?
and the fun starts here. because, as soon as they board the elevator, and the door closes, it drops.
not that far. not enough to harm. certainly enough to startle, especially after it evens out, before plunging a few more feet. the effect likely wears off after the fifth time it does this.
eventually, the elevator stops completely, and opens to a large, mostly empty room. in the center is a large circular stage, ringed with enough podiums for everyone that went on the excursion - living and dead. some of the podiums are covered in white sheets; one might notice that the number of dead corresponds directly to the number of covered podiums.
the Captain is present, of course. he sits on a raised throne separate from the circle, dressed in a suit a tiny bit different than his normal one. he sits with one leg crossed over the other, looking down at them with a completely neutral expression.]
You may take your places. [he gestures magnanimously, then holds up his hand; please reserve the expected freakouts for after his announcements, thanks.] The game is very simple. You have the evidence; put it together, and decide on the guilty party. Only a unanimous decision will bring you the justice you seek. [a faint smile] The one you always seek, at least.
[another gesture]
Questions. Comments. Threats against my life. Concerns.
[the silence breaks on the 26th much as it did on previous nights, with one huge exception: a sound, discordant and eerie, resounds throughout the resort, coming from seemingly nowhere.
all are free to wake up and exit their rooms; it appears that the party really got started out in the hallway. a few might find that they’ve woken up alone, despite not falling asleep that way. I’m sure it’s fine.
unless you're waking up with the newlyweds or in teen cabin. for now, they just need to open their eyes.]
