[Open] > Nepeta: Engage in various shenanigans.
Who: Nepeta Leijon, OTA
When: September
Where: All over
What: Typical cat behaviors, drawings, shipping, pummeling training dummies, and inadvisable investigation of flowers
Warnings: To be added as relevant
What's a cat girl troll to do on a cursed cruise ship? Well, quite a lot of things in fact.
1. just cat things
a) The weather is pretty much always sunny on the Serena Eterna, which means plenty of sunbeams to nap in. On any given day you might spot Nepeta contentedly basking on one of the outer decks -- possibly sprawled out right where you were hoping to walk. You couldn't possibly wake her though, could you? Look how cute she is.
b) At other times, you might find her chasing a crumpled paper ball or a small stuffed plush toy down one of the halls, batting it ahead of her and then pouncing on it as it slides across the floor. Or perhaps perched somewhere high up to watch people go by. (How did she even get up there?)
2. just girl things
a) There are art books in the library now! Nepeta's going through them one at a time, admiring and occasionally attempting to copy the contents with her own set of crayons. She is not doodling additions to the pictures, despite being very tempted.
b) Oh and there's a training dummy! Always an excellent thing for keeping in practice, especially when there's nothing to hunt. Chasing crumpled paper is fun, sure, but sometimes you want something closer to your own size to practice pouncing and clawing and otherwise attempting to murder. The fact that it's unbreakable is just a bonus, really; it means she can go all-out. (Which might be a little terrifying to watch if you haven't seen her in combat before.)
c) She's also got some handicrafts to work on, in her spare time. Which is to say, there's a whole bunch of horse leg bones, brought back from the last excursion by Siffleur. Right now she's got the lot spread out on a table in the library, deciding what to make from them. Feel free to offer suggestions, or horrified commentary, or whatever else seems likely.
3. just troll things
a) Sometimes Nepeta might take advantage of the broad tables in the formal dining room, especially since nobody's using it for formal dining anymore, and spread out some sketches of potential updates to her shipping wall. Generally she'll try to do this when there's no one else around, but she might not notice you? Or she might ask for suggestions.
b) Are those flowers starting to sprout around the ship? They don't look like anything that grows on Alternia, and Nepeta's never seen any Earth vegetation close up. This calls for investigation! Starting with that pretty bright orange one ...
[Unaware that lilies can be very dangerous for cats, Nepeta is sniffing an orange lily and will fall desperately in hate with somebody. Maybe several somebodies. Maybe you! If that doesn't sound like fun, you might come upon Nepeta after she's been sniffing at the ivy, and find her to be compulsively cuddly in catlike fashion. Over the course of the month, further flower shenanigans may be added.]

Dressed in his best eveningwear, he's rather surprised to find a... cat? Gray cat? Cat girl? Wait, those are horns... demon? Goat? Demon goat cat girl? Drawing out a partial diagram?
"Er... pardon me... has the dining hall been reserved for some sort of event?"

A pause.
"... there's lots of tables fr33 still?"

Her cheerfully casual manner certainly doesn't seem like that of someone investigating forbidden knowledge, but one never knows.

They don't look quite right. Their skin is the color of something dead, and she doesn't think humans have teeth that sharp. Plus the orange horns -- ears? -- and the tail, and...
Yes, she decides. She needs a closer look at this.
There's a sound like a glimmer of light made audible. If Nepeta catches it, she might see a streak of pink dart behind one of the bookshelves.
If she doesn't, she may see a pair of eyes peeking out from between the books instead.

Is someone stalking her? Hmmm ... that could be fun.
Demurely, as though she's noticed nothing at all, she looks back down at her book. But her ears are swiveling under her hair, and that twitch at the tip of her tail hasn't stopped.
no subject
Hmmm!
She chances pushing a few books aside. Unfortunately, one of them weighs more than expected, and she lets out a tiny involuntary grunt as she shoves it.

Then it resumes its former movement, almost ostentatiously unbothered.

Then, with a firm nod to herself, she flows over the bookshelf, between the books, and coalesces as a hedgehog a few feet behind the creature's chair. Small enough to approach without making much noise; prickly enough that, hopefully, the cat-maybe-human will think twice about pouncing on her.
Slowly, she tiptoes closer.
no subject
"How'd you do that?"
no subject
When it clears, Nepeta is face-to-face with another young, wide-eyed troll, her hands planted behind her like she's about to scurry back toward the bookshelves.
no subject
"Oh," she says, and then "... hi?"

Like, old man with mental problems wandering into places he shouldn't be, kind of weird. But hey, he's also the guy that was CRONCHED alongside her. So... crunch-buddies?
"Someone's looking busy."

He glances around at the sketches with a raised eyebrow.

Clearly a kindred spirit.
"Say some of these ain't bad."
no subject
"Could you tell me if you notice anything missing? I'd appurreciate it."
no subject
"Sure, but I'm more of a photographer (ha!) and writer than a sketch artist."
