[OPEN] I Want it to Be, Like, Messy
Who: Sec and You
When: October
Where: All Over
Summary: Trying to Get By
Warnings: None Yet
1. I feel like no one wants me [The Pillow Pit]
Perhaps you were coming to relax a little. Perhaps you're just discovering the new door in Calgona for the first time. Perhaps the low rumbling sound coming from behind the door intrigued you.
And perhaps the handwritten sign taped to the door that said AT YOUR OWN RISK was too great a temptation to ignore.
Either way, pushing into the room with the pillow pit, what one finds is Security, sprawled out in the pit, covered by its weighted blanket, either snoring or purring. Or perhaps a mix of both! Engage, as the sign said, at your own risk.
2. And I hate the way I'm perceived [All Over]
The drones are somewhat less present right now. Or perhaps, less obvious. The Panopticon is tired, and the amount of data it's taking in on a daily basis is a lot to process. So, it's only flying a couple extra eyes right now, and even those are staying mostly out of the way. Mostly.
If you're a new passenger or a friend, there's a chance one might still drift by, orbit your head like a personal moon. Buzz near an ear, almost playfully. Since it's not focusing on piloting the whole fleet, it can puppet an individual drone to behave like a cartoon insect, or a curious puppy that happens to be about a centimeter tall and flying.
3. I only have two real friends [Bellona Theater]
Security received the trumpet months ago, but it hasn't really learned how to play it besides LOUD. But now, it's going to a part of the ship that's usually unoccupied to get some actual practice in, testing what the different finger buttons do when pressed. If you're in the area, you might here some tentative little doot-doot.
Are you a musician who can help? Are you someone with ears who wants to complain?
4. And lately, I'm a nervous wreck [Wildcard]
Find me anywhere and anytime to plot, darkersolstice on discord or plurk

It's on the third rotation that she makes the move to try and snatch it from the air, wanting a better look at just what has taken such a shine to her business.

And even better, it speaks. "I should have expected something like that. Mind letting go?"
no subject
She squints at the little thing, before opening her hand to release it.
"Since when could you do this trick?"
Seeing through scrying eyes is one thing, but talking? That's another altogether.
no subject
For its part, the drone is still, at peace in her grasp.
no subject
Guess who doesn't have super future drone tech.

Of course, coming in, she hears the sounds. Weighs the options, and then walks over to the side where they are less loud - before carefully laying her cane down, and then letting her body fall, to fully collapse into the pillows. What, it's fun to hit them with a soft thwump.
no subject
"Fuck, I almost shot you. Don't scare me like that!"
It loves that she's here. But that was not the best of awakenings for something programmed for alertness.
no subject
"Sorry, sorry...I wasn't thinking, and I didn't realize it was you."
It's not the only person with high alert on this ship, but usually she's better about this. Hard work's dulled her awareness.
"Are you all right, though?"
no subject
Yes, it knows it didn't fire, but. It still wants to check.

Anyway, yeah, don't mind the old guy kinda stumbling on in! Sorta doing the whole sneaky creep thing, sorta not.

oh.
The moment it notices Kolchak, it stops completely.

It was at that moment. The wild reporter knew that he had been spotted. By a dino man with a trumpet. You know, this is fine. Never mind that the creature-man-dino-trumpeter just abruptly stopped playing like in a horror movie.
"Uhhh....."
A true wordsmith is he.
"I'm guessing this is where the band practices are being held?"
no subject
It's willing to be wordsmith enough for both of them, it seems.

They knock to announce their presence before settling on a pillow somewhere at the edge of the fort. Maybe if they don't make a pain of themself, they won't be in danger of the risks.
no subject
"Coming to relax?" To share space and time, perhaps even to...

This is a grumpy demand, not a gentle, cute offer to just hold on Klaus for a while.

"I come in peace." He announces as he enters the room. Then flops into the pit.
no subject
As if it's not already trundling closer, bringing its blanket with it.
no subject
He settles in and turns his computer on.
"Share your blanket and I'll let you pick the movie."
no subject
“What are the movie options? Do any of them have scenes where humans interface? I don’t watch those.”
