i've heard it all before [open]
Who: Vance Hopper & OPEN
When: After his arrival in late August
Where: All around
Summary: Vance has arrived and he is NOT happy about it but he's not happy about anything really so he can deal with it.
Warnings: he's very mean (and also likely to be discussing child murder because he is a child who was murdered)
( FOX ON THE RUN ) / deck
[ Vance is walking around on the deck, fists clenched and scowling at anyone who passes by. He doesn't actually talk to anyone yet because he's still used to most people not being able to see him, but he's there.
...And he's absolutely covered in dried blood that he could wash off at any time. He hasn't figured that out yet, either, so he's just. Walking around like that. ]
( PINBALL WIZARD ) / playback
[ Of course as soon as Vance finds Playback he heads straight for the pinball. On one hand, this place sucks. On the other hand, it does have pinball. And nicer machines than the one at the convenience store back home, too. Maybe it's not hell after all.
He's completely in the zone, still getting used to an unfamiliar board so he's not quite at high score tier just yet, but he's still pretty good.
And he knows when someone's lurking around nearby, despite his concentration. ]
You can watch if you want but if you throw me off I'll kick your ass. [ Said whether the nearby person was actually watching him or not. ]
( SCHOOL'S OUT ) / library
[ What a nice library. It'd be a shame if some rude boy went and sat with his shoes right on one of the tables, loudly talking to himself as he flips through a comic book.
He's just looking at the pictures, of course. What is this, school? All things considered, it's not the rudest thing he could be doing, but if there's an opportunity to be obnoxious he's going to take it. ]
( I WANNA BE SEDATED ) / outside of hurikane
[ Vance tried to get himself a drink (after half a year of being dead he deserves a good drink, he thinks) but the second he tries he gets escorted out and told to go back to Playback. He's already had plenty of fun at Playback, thank you, now he wants to have some irresponsible fun.
He stands with his hands in his pockets trying to look inconspicuous until someone who looks like they might be an adult passes by. ]
Psst. [ He leans in towards them. ] Get me a drink. I'll make it worth your while.
[ Let it be known that he has absolutely nothing to offer anyone that would make it worth their while. ]
( WILDCARD )
[ chimera#5926 or PM to plot. Or just go for it, if there's something you want with him. Surprise me. ]

The Doctor is used to people being skeptical though. 2000+ years old and he's heard just about everything at this point.]
Well, Vance Hopper, ghost boy covered in blood, that's because I'm a Time Lord and we were around long before humans were. As for the geezer face this is just what happened with my regeneration this time around; can't choose unfortunately. I do enjoy the eyebrows and Scottish accent though. I'm sure my next self has a very different face now.
[And then he pointedly looks at Vance.]
And if you're just a ghost why do you look the way you look? Are you part of some glam metal band?
no subject
[ Well. Minus the blood. But he's not actually stuck with it anymore, and someday he'll wash himself off and maybe even change his clothes every now and then. ]
You got a problem with metal, pops? Can't handle a little loud noise with your laser spaceship battles? [ That's what aliens do, right? ]
no subject
The TARDIS is more wheezing and less pew pew, but sure we'll roll with that.]
No problem with metal at all. I might prefer rock a bit more though if I'm being honest. AC/DC is more my cup of tea than Van Halen. [And he can't help it - his eyes light up a bit at the jab.] Maybe next time round I'll install speakers in the TARDIS to play as background noise as I'm flying onto the scene. Depending on the time period it would really confused the locals.
no subject
[ He may have taken a photo of Robert Plant he clipped out of a rock magazine to the barber shop and asked for that exact haircut. ]
What the hell's a TARDIS? [ He's still hesitant and not very polite - he's slow to trust most adults for a variety of reasons - but he likes talking about music and the weird alien stuff has him a little curious even if he acts too cool for sci-fi. ]
no subject
[Pun intended.
But then because he's equally curious about Vance and doesn't want to potentially add any kind of undue trauma. A change for him! It probably has something to do with the fact that Vance looks relatively young.] What year are you from? The hair suggests somewhere in the 1980's but time is a weird soup.
[And then he grins because well, he loves his TARDIS as much as she can be a pain in the ass. He whips out a small blue police box toy he won from the claw machine game and holds it out to him.] My spaceship and time machine. It's obviously not this one - in fact it's a poor representation of it - but she's a thing of beauty. Temporarily missing but I'll figure out how to get her back.
no subject
That's what a spaceship looks like? [ He squints, trying to get a closer look at it. He definitely notices the word 'police'. ] Hang on, you're not a cop, are you?
no subject
Just mine. There are plenty of other types of spaceships - there was one that was being propelled along the back of one of the last star whales in existence. Others look like saucers - or whatever it is humans think they are if they haven't seen them before. [He shrugs.] Really just depends on the people and what they've got. And no. Not a cop. Just an idiot with a blue box. Or The Doctor if you like.
no subject
[ He perks up a little at that. For the last few months he's been focused purely on revenge, he almost forgot about things like food and games and music.
The TARDIS still doesn't impress him much, though. Luckily he's just a fountain of good ideas for improvement right now and is offering them up free of charge. ] You should paint some flames on the side. And put a rocket launcher on top.
no subject
[Normally in a situation like this he'd just take Vance straight to a AC/DC rock concert, but without a TARDIS he's going to have to improvise a little bit.
Yeah those are ideas. Whether they're good is up for debate. His expression kind of says it all but then his mouth has to go and say it too because he can't just let Ghostie insult his TARDIS like that.]
Those are awful ideas. Why would I need a rocket launcher?
no subject
[ Spare him what? His wrath, of course. As if a regular teenager's wrath is any threat to a time lord.
At the question, he just raises an eyebrow like the answer is totally obvious. ] So you can launch rockets. Duh. [ He mimes like he's holding an invisible rocket launcher and pretends to shoot it. ] Take that, evil space monsters.
no subject
[He opens his mouth before closing it again and squinting at Vance.] I think we need to work on you expanding your horizons a little more with the possibilities of time and space, Ghostie. There's more out there than exploding evil space monsters.
no subject
[ And what exactly does being haunted entail? Who knows. It's about as generic of a ghost threat as you can get. ]
Alright, then what else is there?
no subject
[But as soon as the gravity seeps into his voice it's gone replaced with excitement.]
Seeing things you've never seen before. Meeting people from different walks life who don't even look, work, or speak the same as you and me. You could watching a dying star in its last moments or watch any musician you'd like play live in front of you.
no subject
[ He thinks on that for a second. Space is some nebulous place with lots of empty space and maybe some monsters in his mind. Time, on the other hand, is something he can conceptualize, even if he doesn't think very far back. ]
I wanna go to Woodstock.
no subject
[Because frankly the 1999 Woodstock was a disaster on many levels and he wouldn’t bring anyone there let alone a teenage ghost boy as much as he’s sure he’d revel in the chaos.]
no subject
[ He's pretty sure some people did bring their kids along. Not that his parents were cool enough to do that, but at least he could get in. ]
no subject
[He figures after bringing one of Clara's students to the moon he should triple check.]
