[open] to you who possesses the soul of the sun
Who: Fio, her two stuffed animals (Judith and Calcite), and YOU!
When: Early September only, before the event.
Where: Sand Dollars for daytime interactions and various places on the ship for evening interactions. Wildcard option available.
Summary: More art time with Fio in Sand Dollars, with possibly interesting drawings that reference her dreams. And aimless wandering around the ship during the evening.
Warnings: References to Fio's nightmares, which usually involve some form of suffering. Some of the dream mentions are a little more vague this time, but I'll be sure to clearly indicate warnings where necessary. More information about what her dreams entail can be found here on the original announcement post.
Notes: I default to brackets but I'll match!
■ A. SAND DOLLARS - DAYTIME (OPEN)
i.
[ Today, Fio's "workplace" of choice is at Sand Dollars. The seven-year-old girl occupies a small booth in the corner with a mug of hot chocolate. Art materials are piled on her table: crayons, markers, lots of paper-- some blank and some not. As well as little doilies she's amassed from some plates.
Some of the pieces of paper have some... interesting-looking works of art?
On one sheet of paper: The cafe's doilies pasted down, with multiple segments colored in with crayon. The image nearly resembles a group of parasols.
The band music, colorful parasols, and outfits-- that dream seemed like it would be nice. Until she got chased by a murderous mob towards a beach. The people in that dream kept calling "her" by a different name. No, it was more like a number. She doesn't understand the significance of "six"...
Scribbled in crayon on another sheet: ...a drawing of some kind of plant-like creature?
It's unlike any animal Fio's ever seen before. From what she recalls in her hazy mind, the poor thing was hurt and frightened and a boy was very insistent on saving it. What she depicts on paper doesn't show the monster's pained expression from that dream. And the boy in that dream seemed familiar too. A name was called out. What was it again?
And there's an unfinished piece: a single page, with a lightbulb and cord dangling underneath. Upon closer inspection, one will notice a black dot on the page, which may be a stray accidental marking or potential beginnings of something else to be added.
...Fio's distracted at the moment with another activity, temporarily delaying the completion of her third art piece of the day. She's found interest in further playing with the doilies on the plates, gluing them together to craft together white paper roses. ]
ii.
[ Oh no, she's running out of doilies! So she roams around the cafe, going around to empty tables, searching for unguarded pieces of lace paper. She goes for the ones that look clean enough to use. ]
Oh, sorry! [ An apologetic smile. ] Did you wanna keep that? I'll look somewhere else.
NIGHTMARE - EVENING (META)
[ Being on the receiving end of bullying is a familiar feeling to Fio, unfortunately. Sadly, harassment and abuse was something that she would always expect in her town. Tonight's dream is another reminder of those unpleasant feelings. (cw: bullying)
Her surroundings aren't what she's familiar with, but it's easy to distinguish that it's a school. Judging from the age of the other girls, the "her" in this dream is someone older. The other girls don't look upon her with kindness. They stare and laugh... only for her to later rush out of the changing room with her belongings. Later, she finds herself in a bathroom stall. Filthy, dirty, yet it's peaceful. There's sniffling in the next stall over...
...Then, Fio wakes up. She doesn't bolt upright like many of her previous dreams. Instead, she finds her eyes and face damp with tears as the hopelessness from her recent dream resonates close. When it registers in her mind that she's awake on the Eterna, she carefully sits up. Clutching her phone for a moment, she tucks it away in her pocket without dialing for anyone.
And so, it's become another night of aimless wandering around the ship. ]
■ B. VARIOUS PLACES AROUND THE SHIP (EVENINGS ONLY - OPEN)
[ She might be found wandering through the promenade, on the upper decks sitting underneath the stars with her legs dipped into the pool, at the gym practicing solo a few basic ballet moves to keep herself distracted. Or maybe even standing before the infinite Tommy Bahama, considering if she should pick up some new clothing.
Wherever she goes, she's in the company of a floating stuffed bear: Judith (who now dons blue threaded stitches on the side of its neck)... and a second stuffed animal: a dragon. A newly received gift from the sundries shop. Neither are sentient, but they appear to hover near Fio like silent guardians. ]
■ C. WILDCARD
[ Have a different idea? Toss me anything here or PM me! Fio's usual locations: the library, sand dollars, upper decks, the promenade during the daytime. She can also be found during some evenings when she can't sleep. ]

[ Seems legit. Kind of like Mei's friend Snowball the drone; even over a data connection Snowball doesn't communicate in words except to answer simple queries, but Mei understands what it's trying to convey much better than anyone else. ]
// I'm also happy to meet them.

[ Not quite on the same level as Max being best friends with Skulduggery and Ava. Still, she gets along with the other omnic well enough that she considers him to be a friend. And she would love for another ride in his car. It seems Max is happiest when he's driving it, so... it'd be nice if they could go to another place where he can go for a cruise. ]
...Have you seen his car? An... [ Pause. ] au- tomobile.
[ She grins, proud over how perfect she pronounces the word now. ]

// Yes! He showed it to me at the diner. It looked very well maintained. [ It sounds like the word is unfamiliar to her. Right, humans acquire language gradually, they don't download the whole thing at once. They should try not to use too many uncommon words. ]

[ There are some individuals that use uncommon words with her, which is sometimes fine, since she tries to pick up and learn what they mean. She likes to parrot them, like she does with Max. It's because of him she uses the word "automobile". What might be worse for her is if Bastion strings too many sentences together that include too many complex terms. That's when she starts to feel entirely lost. ]
He takes real good care of his things! [ Granted, she only really saw him polishing his car most of all. And it seems he always dresses nice when he can (as long as he's not forced to wear camp shorts), so she would assume he always takes proper care of his belongings. ] And I got to go on my very first car ride with him.

// I haven't been able to converse with other omnics in a long time either. It's a nice change. [ Athena was at least another artificial intelligence, but since her body is a series of buildings, their experiences are still pretty dissimilar. In some ways they're more like Winston than like her, even though he's organic. ]
[ They tilt their upper body towards her, interested in that last sentence. ] // I've never been in a car; I usually don't fit. What was it like?
