[OPEN] i'm taking back the crown

Who: "Jeff" & anyone who wants to visit
What: Jail :(
When: Mid-month (immediately after this post) til... end of month? What's time anymore, I don't know
Where: The Brig :(
Warnings: Possible references to violence, possession, character death

Notes: it's pretty likely that there's somebody guarding the brig at any given time, even if they're not explicitly mentioned, so things aren't likely to go off the rails here. hit me up at [plurk.com profile] weeyotch / weeyotch#8200 if you want to plot anything specific!

I see what's mine and take it
Ughhhhhhh. The brig! Is! So! Boring!! How is it, after two-and-whatever years trapped in this hellhole (plus or minus a year, decade, century, whatever, who knows how long it's been since he shuffled off to the great Nothing), this is his first time seeing the inside of the brig? Back on his cruise, if he acted up too much, and someone had to put him down? They went ahead and did it.

But not this time. No, now he's just sitting in a cell, dying of boredom, because the passengers don't have the balls to kill him.

But hey, you know what? Silver linings, looking at the bright side, turning lemons into lemonade, whatever: At least he doesn't have to pretend to be Jeff anymore.

Anyone who comes and visits (interrogates?) him will find that while he may look like sweet, simple, stupid Jeff, everything about him-- the way he moves, the way he speaks, the expressions on this face-- he's all Chase Collins.

Not that... not that anyone knows who Chase Collins is. But, well, if you want to find out, now's your chance.

"How different was your cruise? Because if it would get me away from Sharky, Jeff and Klaus then perhaps it might have been preferable." Conversely if the bloodshed and violence got his suit dirty, then that's a hard pass. He has standards.

"That sounds like a humiliating and lengthy way to die. I approve. Unfortunately when he returns to life you'll probably have someone trying to make you apologize to him. Which you shouldn't by the way, if you were considering it." Obviously he cares about Crichton very much. "Is Jeff in there? How did this whole," gesturing at what should be Jeff, "scenario happen? Should I be concerned about it spreading? I'm personally using my body and would like to keep it as such."

"Winning?" A huff, "Winning what? The ability to go back to your own world and be annihilated? Were you trying to take over the boat itself? I feel like the Captain would sink it himself before he allowed such a thing."

But he does like the idea of winning so do go on Chase.

"That's very reassuring. In that it's not even the least bit so. Are you coming out of the walls or somesuch?"

"Who cares if you win those, you'll all come back anyway. Certainly there's the fun of shooting people but eventually that must wear off since there's no lasting death. Doesn't it get boring after a few times?" This is the most introspective Max has ever been about death and killing. Which is pretty sad but, that's how he is.

He rolls the diodes of his eyes, "Fine, I don't really care anyway."

Max almost turns to leave because he doesn't actually need an answer about his philosophical does death get boring question. But he turns back as an after thought, "When you get out of there, can I make a request? Peter Smith. I'm sure his death commentary would be quite entertaining."
