monday's child is fair of face (2/2)
CW: death, probably gore, possibly more TBA
[and that’s what you missed on glee.
and so, there “Friday” is, standing on the roof of the bar. the attention of the party has surely turned to her by this point, but she doesn’t care about that. she just needs one person to still be a little too distracted to stop what was coming next.
Monday snaps her fingers, and Jenny disappears from wherever she was standing before, reappearing directly in front of Monday, who embraces her from behind, an arm wrapped firmly around her middle. those with enhanced senses might catch what she whispers, seconds before she snaps Jenny’s neck so hard it hangs at a 90 degree angle as Monday kicks her, her corpse toppling forward onto the deck below.]
Surprise, bitch.
[well, there. unfinished business settled. onto more pertinent matters.]
Let’s get a little more comfortable first, hm? Can’t waste too much of her magic, but audiences love a quick change.
[she snaps her fingers, and Monday finds herself in an outfit that is far more to her taste. now. time for her grand performance.]
Greetings, foolish mortals! You may or may not have noticed that things have been a little bit different this month. While the Captain is off having a good old bitch cry about whatever it is he’s so upset about, poor little Friday was running herself ragged keeping this shitheap floating! She was so distracted, in fact, that she happened to have a little accident, while fixing something in the elevator shaft! [a laugh] I guess even clay bitches can break their necks! And there I was, sitting in Fucking Nowhere, doing Fucking Nothing, feeling Fucking. Nothing! And I saw her empty shell. And I was, like, hey, free real estate!
Whatever tear in the veil that your whiny little Captain just didn’t feel like fixing? I ripped that fucker right open. And you’ve all met a few of the sorry little fuckers that fell out already, hm? [another snap] Not all of them, but, hey, that’s what now is for, right? Because, see, we all kinda got together a little bit, and we were like… You know, just borrowing some shitty bodies to have some fun for a few weeks? What a waste! And we still have a lot of bitches we need to spring from jail!
And that! Is where you assholes come in! And, trust me, you are all assholes. Have you even seen some of the psychotic shit you people have said and done to us? Like, yeah, Mary is legitimately insane, but she’s still a kid! Even I’m not gonna call a fucking nine year old a bitch!
You can try to run, but I fucking hate running in heels, so I made that a little bit… difficult. So. Why don’t you nice people just lay down and let us kill you. I’ll be gentle. Promise.
[perhaps people have tried to flee already. they likely have. and they’ve found that the entire party area has been blocked off by the same sort of barrier that surrounds the realm, an invisible orb holding them captive.]
Now. Let’s get the actual party started!

Now. Let’s get the actual party started!
OTA - Just outside the barrier (panic or get murdered in front of César because no escape??)
He was leaving his family behind again for the greater good. Just like he had in the Nanite Event. César would just be another target. A better use of him would be to prep the Infirmary, and so he goes to do exactly that.
The shouts and screams change everything. No! He's made the wrong choice. Why didn't he stay, why didn't he stay, why didn't he stay?!
César tries to turn around, but the decision is made for him by the barrier that won't yield against his palms. Nothing happens as chaos unfolds on the other side. There's nothing he can do.
"John! Johnny!"
Once again, there's nothing he can do.

"César!" Phil shouts, running towards him. "César, you..."
He looks at his palms, pressed white against the air. Phil realizes in an instant what he's looking at, but he refuses to take it lying down all the same, so he charges towards the empty space next to them and swings, the desperate impact shattering one of his ice knuckledusters against the barrier.
No dice, of course.
"They're still in there," he says, breathless, because of course Phil's making it about them, not him. "Please. You have to find a way."

"... What are you talking about?" He can just barely keep the tremble out of his voice. "César, God, please, I don't know what will happen to them. They're going to try and kill us all and if they do it right, we're not coming back."
no subject
"What?" César's voice breaks. "They're trying to do what?"
Not again. Not again. Not again.
no subject
So he tries everything he can to choke his fear.
"They'll kill us," he says. "They want our bodies and they're going to get them by killing all of us. We're--we're trying to fight them off, but if--if--"
no subject
"If they take you all out, then I have no chance at all." César states the facts as they are. "I am one man, without any means to change the course of this fight."
He swallows. "Our only hope is that the others can fight them off. All isn't lost. Not yet. W-We have to believe that, Phil."

He'd passed close by the party area, immediately picking up on the screaming. Swearing, he'd rushed towards the noise. If there was a chance that anything could be done, it'd be best to get there as quickly as possible.
Seeing César panicking with his hands pressed against a barrier confirmed that there was little if anything that they could do.
"What happened?" he said, tone sharp to try and grab César's attention and force him to focus.

Yes, he knows he's amazing, but he'll say "I told you so" later.Six frowned as he looked from the barrier to César. "Any reason they suddenly became hostile?"
no subject
SHHHH."A trap." It's a simple answer. "It was a trap. Omori warned me two minutes before. I-I tried to get Watson and Johnny out, but they.... elected to stay and fight."
Oh, the pain in his voice.

Ryan runs up to the barrier and hits his hands against it, fingers curling. Blood runs down the front white stripe of his costume. He looks panicked, because who wouldn't be?
"César, I'm scared! W-We're all gonna die in here, dude! What do I--?"
What does he do???? César????????
no subject
He's already been hurt; César notes this as he keeps his voice reasonably calm. "Breathe. Close your eyes and try to breathe, okay? Now's not the time to panic."
no subject
The breaths he takes are large and exaggerated, almost comically hyperventilating. He closes his eyes, resting his head against the barrier like it's a pane of glass.
And then?
He laughs. He cackles.
The fingertips curl in even more, as if clawing the glass. When his eyes open, it's clear he's not the one home. The grin has too many teeth.
"Ha! You should've seen your face! I can't believe you actually bought that."
Catra leans back and tilts Ryan's head so Cesar can see the cause of death - a gruesome stab wound to the neck.
"This loser's long gone."

Which is when his parenting skills kick in. You don't reward such behavior. César turns around and crosses his arms, ignoring her.
Poor Ryan....
no subject
The blatant attempt to ignore her though? Not so much.
"Awww. Didn't like that, huh?" If she can't mock him to his face she'll mock him to his back. "This guy thinks you're pretty smart, but this is just sad. I mean...you had to know this would've happened to everyone. Right?"
no subject
César's going to ignore you.

Here to panic! o7
But there are tears in his eyes as he stumbles towards the barrier.
"César? César, why... why are Johnny and Watson still here? I told you to take them... I-I told you..."
God, did they see anything? Do they know what horrible things Omori has done already, even when he seemed to be improving and learning? Do they know what he did to Watson?
woooo panic time
"I told them. But they chose to stay."
no subject
"...Have you seen Johnny?"
He probably should avoid him, to be fair, but he wants to know if at least he's alright...
no subject
César shakes his head. "No, I haven't. He hasn't texted me, either."
... strange he's only asking about Johnny. He must have seen Watson recently. César almost opens his mouth to ask, but then... thinks better of it. He doesn't want to know. He can't.
"Are you okay?"
no subject
"Everyone's fighting... everyone's upset. I don't want my friends to go back to nothing again, but I don't want any of you to end up there either. I d-didn't manage to warn you in time, and Watson got hurt because of it, and-"
He takes a sharp, shaky breath, squeezing his eyes shut. "A-And Rich keeps making me cry and I hate it."
