mood in my tomb red moon heavy [OPEN & CLOSED]
Who: Siffleur, Daisy, Jack Bioshock and you
What: Catch-all
Where: Quarters, Tommy Bahamas and Mikabo sushi bar
When: Early November
Warnings: Violence, gore, cannibalism, suicidal ideation, aggressive flirtations & sex
1. Home Sweet Home (cabin - closed to Daisy)
Siffleur goes back to the cabin maybe twice a week at most. It’s where the shower is, which is something he has gotten used to and enjoys. He can keep himself clean, but hot water works out the knots nicely.
Someone else moved in last week. Their scent is less than human, heavy and musky, and it’s taken a great deal of restraint from him not to ruin their things. But this isn’t his place - his place is in the Tommy Bahamas and he’s content to stay there most of the time. So far, he’s been lucky enough to enter the room when the other person isn’t in.
Today, he’s not so lucky, and as he opens the door, he’s hit with an even stronger version of her smell. He grunts to himself and steps inside, closing the door behind him as he finally gets a look at his roommate.
Siffleur pauses and tips his head to the side as he gets a good look at her human shaped form. “Hmm. Shapechanger, werewolf, something else?”
2. Life Is One Long Weekend! (Tommy Bahamas - open)
Outside the Tommy Bahamas is a large posterboard and a sign-up sheet with a pen on a string, and a selection of brightly coloured armbands made from various items within the Tommy Bahamas. Block letters in thick sharpie offer an explanation:
TIKTOK CHALLENGE: SURVIVE 1 HOUR IN TOMMY BAHAMAS
MUST WRITE DOWN NAME AND TIME STARTED AND WEAR ARMBAND TO PARTICIPATE
WINNER GETS TO PET A COUGAR
LOSERS AGREE TO BE EATEN
There’s no sign of Siffleur. He’s somewhere inside, waiting.
((additional rules here))
3. Tommy Bahamas Is for Lovers (Tommy Bahamas - closed to Jack)
Somewhere, over one of the various repeating men’s sections, Siffleur is bedded down in a selection of various throws. It’s comfortable and enclosed up at the top of the shelves, and he’s about to settle into a lull when a somewhat familiar scent comes to him.
It’s the man from the aftermath of the Halloween party. He raises his head, feeling a thrum of excitement. Siffleur slinks out of his hiding spot and makes his way along the tops of the shelves and racks, until he comes across the man.
Siffleur sits and waits, watching him and deciding his best point of attack.
4. greedy little kitty (Mikabo sushi bar - Open)
A regular at the sushi restaurant, Siffleur can be found sitting on a stool at the counter with a scattering of plates in front of him and around him on the floor. As always, he sits in his cougar form, content to paw selections off the belt and lap them up before discarding the plate.
Other entering passengers may get looked at, but not for long. After all, there’s always more sushi to eat. And perhaps most infuriatingly, he’s set up at the first position, so he always gets his first pick of the best sushi. If there’s a piece you want, you might have to speak up first.
5. Wildcard
As always, DM me to discuss.

She nods. "Do you not also count as something magical? Or is it a different sort of...classification?" But it's curious that he knew only his mother that was similar to him. Nothing else that changed. It seemed so unusual. But perhaps there is a story behind that. "Were there really so few of you?"
no subject
Siffleur shrugs - a human gesture on an animal body. "I do not know what I count as. My transformation is not very magical. My bones break, and my skin rips, and it is painful. Magic as I have seen it is very soft and swift. But maybe my kind of magic is flesh?"
He reaches for another plate as it passes, dragging over a little salmon and nods. "If there were more, I never met them. My mother was a human, before something happened to make her into a werecougar, so she never knew if there were others like us either. And both of my children were human, so I do not know if this is something you are meant to pass to your children, or if it was part of the same accident that befell my mother. Now that I am here, I expect the truth will always remain a mystery to me."
no subject
There is a nod at his words, though, as she drags herself back out of her thoughts. "I think magic depends on the world and the people that wield it. Much like anything. But...I guess my understanding of magic is quite limited. Once a man turned a drawing I made into a real life object. It isn't very pretty because I am not quite skilled at it, but..."
She can understand that. Being here, being away from home...she doesn't know what time or mystery she's part of. She doesn't really know much of anything about what awaits her back home. What will happen. "How curious." She looks at him. "I didn't realize you had children as well." She notes the tense, so she doesn't know whether that is because of his being here or something else.
no subject
He flicks his ears at the thought of a drawing coming to life. Strange... He knows very little about what magic here is real or not. Everyone is from somewhere different, and the magic is different from place to place too. Perhaps there are no limits. Perhaps it's all real-
Siffleur chuckles softly, and answers her. "I do, but not as you do. My children are with their mothers, where they should be. Neither of them were like me, and it would have been cruel to take them away, to try raise them like me when they are human. They have good mothers, both of them, women who would do anything to keep them safe and fed and warm. I have seen them from a distance now and then, and they are growing up strong, healthy, vibrant... happy. Very happy." There's a warm content tone to his voice. He is lonely, and he has often wished for a child more like him, but he cannot find it in himself to be bitter that they have found a contentment he never can. He also flickers his tail a few times. "Their mothers are much happier without me as well. We reached the end of our affection for each other by our final months together. But they remain good mothers, and so that is all that matters."
no subject
"Ah." She nods at his words, but it still seems rather sad. To be so alone. Not that she hasn't been alone herself. But she's had Hector and Lee, Felix, and Sylvester. She moves a little closer, choosing to settle in next to him on a chair rather than awkwardly standing. "I am glad that they are well and healthy." That is the part that matters. "How old are they?" A beat. "If you wish to speak more of them, of course."
no subject
"I'm happy to speak about them. The eldest is Kendall. She would be... twelve or so. Looks like her mother - dirty blonde, blue eyes. But she's taller than most girls her age. That's from me. She plays a lot of sports. I see pictures of her on her school website, and watched her play volleyball a year or two ago." He rests his head on his paws as he talks, fondness in his voice. "The youngest is Charmaine. She's almost three. Looks like her mother too - black hair, dark eyes. Not sure if she'll be tall yet. Her mother puts pictures on her Instagram."
He turns his eyes to Maeve. "And your daughter? How old is she?"
no subject
She listens as he talks about his children. They sound lovely anyway. She doesn't actually have memories of her daughter as young as three. There's an inkling of a storyline there, an idea of it. An impression of one, really. But he seems to be quite fond of them all the same. Which is nice to see. "They sound lovely."
"Oh." Maeve considers the question before searching back through memories. "I believe...around ten. And she will always be that way. At least she would have in Westworld. But she is in the Valley Beyond." A beat. "That's what they called it. I'm not sure if that changes things or not, but she's at least safe from Delos."

After all, why shouldn't they be able to create such a thing? A place where only the mind can go is not a place that humans would easily think of making. But a machine where mind is what remains when the body is destroyed? It would make a great deal of sense to make a place only you can reach.
"I do not understand this place, but perhaps one day, you will be able to communicate with the Valley Beyond. It is not a physical location after all, so maybe information could be sent back and forth." Perhaps not - no one Siffleur has spoken to has had a good work to say about the Captain. But one can still hope that Maeve has her chance to speak to her daughter again.
no subject
She looks down. "Perhaps. I doubt it, but perhaps." Even if she doesn't, Maeve hopes it will work out. "I'd settle for information about home. I'm not certain if the Captain is liable to give it to me without it being used to hurt me. He's already used Ford against me."
