After all that, waiting until dawn seems like little consequence. But wait she does, though she can’t help but send a little taunt to a particular party before making her way up to the bridge. The sun rises just over the edge of the water, the stars beginning to fade from view. She can sense Clarke not far behind, and the Skeleton must be here somewhere, though maybe they will get lucky and he’s elsewhere. Tiamat leans against the railing to look out over the realm a scared little child created, musing over the various outcomes of what is about to happen. Even if the Captain knows who she is, he’d entertained her before, there’s no reason to suspect he won’t now.

“Oh, Captain,” she says, still watching the sun come up. “Care to watch the sunrise with me?”

[The ice of death slowly gathers around Malin's dinosaur as Tiamat prepares to kill it.]

[something tugs on the edge of Tiamat's sleeve.]

[Valdis may care about all the idiots here and finding some peaceful resolution, but not Tiamat.

Goddesses of destruction prefer to destroy.

She doesn't glance down to see who has tugged on her, though the height would suggest Fio or the little gremlin from the labyrinth. Based on Malin's tone, and the Captain moving to protect her, it's likely the latter.

Death shifts away from Tiffany, but doesn't dissipate, nor does it surround Malin.

Instead it reaches into the black freighter, searching for other lives to remove.

If she can't attack Malin directly, she'll at least remove the woman's prizes.]

[Sparkles' hand reaches through Valdis' back to grasp Tiamat

and then it yanks.]

[Tiamat gasps, jerking away from Sparkles. The Death magic dissipates instantly as the Goddess tries to keep hold on the body she's been possessing.]

Let go you insolent welp.

[She starts to try to shift into a Hound.]

[Friday, whose hand Sparkles has been holding, also reaches in to grasp her.

which, considering her body doesn't have any phasing abilities, is a bit more dramatic.]

[The moment Friday reaches in, black blood bursts out of the wound, coiling like black oil around the construct's arm.

The shriek that follows doesn't sound remotely human.]

[they continue pulling, otherwise making no other motions.]

[Despite her struggles, Tiamat can't hold on. With a small squelch, a writhing black serpent slips out into their hands. It shrieks, chilling surrounding passengers to the bone and strikes at Friday desperately.

The body Tiamat had been possessing falls to the ground.]

Valdis!!

[Max sprints to her side. He isn't quick enough to stop her from landing hard on the ground, but he's instantly pulling her into his lap, his bottom lip quivering with fear as he checks her pulse.]

[When Max runs he is right behind him. He can feel the fear radiating from Max before he sees his face. Dropping to his knees next to Max he places a hand on his back. Ash can hear her breathing and her heart beating.]

She's...alive.

[Max releases a gasping sigh of relief.]

Oh, thank God. Does this mean... was that snake...Tiamat? Is she gone?

[He brushes her hair off her face as Max holds her head in his lap.]

She doesn't smell like she's dying anymore...I think that's a good thing.

[A shudder ripples through Max, taking the fearful tension away with it.]

Y-yeah. That has to be a good thing. I can't believe they... they pulled that snake out of her.

Not shocked to find out Tiamat is a snake. Makes sense. [Ash feels like he can finally breathe right again as he watches the steady, slow rise and fall of her chest.] Maybe we should take her to our room? [He knows what he said. His room with a bed big enough for all three of them, he considered that theirs.]

...Miss Valdis? Miss Friday? And... Sparkles? [ From where Fio's standing, she can't hear any of the conversation. As soon as she sees Sparkles, Fio starts pushing through the crowd, followed by her two flying plushies.

She can't make sense of the scene. What's that black... blood? A serpent? Though unsettling, she keeps running until she can reach the shadow. She was told to be careful, since things are getting dangerous... but all she can think about now is going to her friend. ]

Sparkles!

[it turns its head to look at her. cocks its head for a moment. then, returns back to what it was doing.]

[sabigoe]

[ Huh. Where's its usual greeting? No "hi"...? Or much of anything else.

She holds her hand out, hoping it would take it. ]

Sparkles. C'mon. It's dangerous out here.

Not here

[ What the hell was that? He doesn't have a great view of what's happening, he just heard a terrifying scream and saw something black spray into the air. ]
